Well my name's actually Martin and I was born and raised in a small town outside Johannesburg, though I've been living in a small town just outside Leeds in Yorkshire for the past 400 years or so, playing in various bands and duos and ensembles of nefarious type.
I got my first guitar when I was 15 and started writing songs the day after as I was too dumb to realise that you were allowed to play other people's music. Then 15 years later, in April 2008, I discovered the Mac and finally started getting my songs down and out there into iCompland where all the strange yet somehow lovely people live. I didn't know it was possible to have so much fun by yourself on the computer.
At the moment I'm using a mac book, a semi-acoustic Ovation guitar, an SM58 mic and two Lightsnake USB-to-instrument leads to record everything and I'm having a whale (wail ... wale .... whail??? Where the hell did that saying come from?) of a time!
