Why Che Guevara Was A Monster pt 1 Overview by ddball 8 months ago
Read '1968' by Mark Kurlansky. Interesting insights into the global push for violence and peace; Che was just one of those involved. The whole goddam time was monstrous. However your production and narration was really good. Keep it coming
Winter (solo piano) by mbehar 8 months ago
A warm fire, good whiskey, and you have a great context to listen to this as I in the heat of summer cry for a beach, gin and tonic, and the piece would work just the same. You have captured the elements. You play well; the piece is fairly rhapsodic. Was this intentional? If not, create a more contrasting bridge passage before the recapitulation. Keep writing...

The drumming gives a slick groove in which your guitars intertwine a great thread of rhythm and improve solo. Excellent prog sound that does need a bridge somewhere to maintain acute interest in a funky mood. Excellent work all up as you all convey that you really listen to each other.

The time signature is great - in three - swings along with a sense of understated urgency - and your sax solo is intelligent; great build up. More interplay with all instruments would have given a better improv feel. Great production all round

This production is initially really good
but the development lacks unfortunately
i know lots of people have listened and enjoyed
but i would expect something more dynamic - modulate -
and keep the interest flowing

if you love fusion one way or the other, the piece offers a contrapuntal style that is interesting to listen to. Normal listening is often numerous sounds these days - it's far from messy; dense as a cloud in air that distorts one's listening expectations...keep it up

rhythm and vocals - excellent; experiment worked; nice choice of loops
you could try to remix with full swing band - merely an idea
Vocals - keep up trumpet sound as it works well with all other choice of sounds

take the first thirty secs of the sound effects and the last 30 secs of the piece. Join them and loop/distort and I think you will capture LA and its commotion. Otherwise, this nice piece really conveys the feeling of a Sunday drive away frrom the city

The first part is interesting - many rhythms wanting to come out.But then you change direction with the guitar. Stick to the first minute and develop it; it's a section crying out for more. Your style reminds me of what WARP records produce.

This piece has potential - but as a soundscape perhaps allow more time for the audience to hear what's around them, especially what's so distinctive about NY. To give you an idea perhaps listen to City Life by Reich. Keep working at it; at present i'm just hearing familiar loops. Edit and remix and let us hear NY smiley
