hey Xov, thanks for checking this out. yeah, a little retro r&b style out of new orleans. The Radiators is a very popular band in that area, more of a regional success, i guess. very cool band, imo. actually, the intro is kind of a nod to The Radiators, who have done intros on other songs of theirs like this before. i was blown away when i first heard this song--actually during a recorded concert that i caught on tv, so i was trying to be faithful to a certain point to their live version that i'd liked so much.

hey louis, your encouragement means alot and i thank you for the listen and your kind comment.

hey mick, thanks for your kind comment--i'll be back at ya on your idea in a few minutes. lol, there's a bass line in there, but not very audible. you've got a good point about the fade--kinda lazy not to put a better ending on it. i appreciate your suggestions and i'm glad that you liked it overall. lol, i am definitely old enough to remember, btw--i think i've got ya by about a year in age.

really nice sound and a very cool track. any language mistakes are completely lost on me--i've given a couple of spanish lyrics a try before and probably left any and all listeners in stitches from my mispronunciations. this is a really impressive post and i like it alot.

Saturday Morning Blues by tpeterson 3 years ago
hey jack, i really appreciate you checking this out and i'm happy that you liked it.

thanks again, lewis. you're quite right about the mix and mastering quality--fact is, my brother dave deserves all the credit for that and he gets fantastically clean results from all of his recordings. i have alot to learn in that area. i appreciate your kind comment as always.

hi feenixx--i'm making my way around this site since joining this past week and after running across your name a fair number of times and then hearing your latest post, i realized in a hurry that this is someone who knows very well what he's doing in a studio. i really appreciate you stopping by to check this out and i'm pleased that you generally liked it. you're probably quite right about the ending--this was composed somewhat on the fly as we recorded it, so it's still a work in progress and hopefully we'll get a proper ending on it.
Enceladus Encounter by feenixx 3 years ago
scrolling down the page, i kept seeing the word "amazing". dang it, i can't come up with a better word myself. this is such an impressive production and i can't believe the amount of creativity that went into this. i wish i could do better than repeat the great comments before me, but suffice to say that i couldn't agree more with all of them.

tim
Spooked - Jazzed Up by JackFancy 3 years ago
part of my frustration at times is that i'm tied up screwing around with making the tech side of recording work the way i want it and by the time i've got it worked out, i'm way too stressed out (or pissed off) to try to make some decent music, lol. anyway, you've put together a really cool listen here with a great performance to appreciate. i agree with some earlier comments that the vocal's great.

tim
Moondance by tpeterson 3 years ago
man, i really appreciate the listen and the kind comment, lewis.

hey mick, i know mark sanderson's name from someplace (an album i have maybe?) i'll definitely look him up. thanks for the kind words on this. you're right that i'm a little lazy particularly with the drum machine because i only ran the beat pattern thru without the accents as they really should be. i really appreciate your time and advice on this and i agree that some more time and care can turn out a much more finished product, but i'm learning.
Moondance by tpeterson 3 years ago
