I love your voice; especially in that you can really feel the emotion in your voice. I struggle with that myself; the technique you can learn but no one can teach you soul. And you definitely have soul.

As far as the technical aspect of it, one thing to work on is try to keep a more stable dynamic (volume) level throughout the phrases. Each note should, generally speaking, gradually get softer or louder; it seems like your higher notes have a ton of power behind them but the notes that come easier you don't put as much force behind them. Lastly, just a stylistic preference, but in this style, I wouldn't accent the t's and such as much as you did, it sounded more musical theatre like to me than poppy. Try and approach singing as if you are talking to someone - all singing really is is sustained speech on different notes.

I really enjoyed this. You have a gift.

Wow, such passionate delivery. =]
A little pitchy on some notes, and some of the higher notes sound a little belted. But other than that this was great.
Thank you for sharing your music!

I really enjoyed this!
You have an excellent voice, I can't help but wonder how much more amazing this would be if you had a really nice condenser mic to record with.
I liked how you used the effects on the voice and stopped the music some. That kind of caught me off guard at first, but it really made the song unique.

Kudos,
Britt

Hey man, I really enjoyed this. I didn't like the software instruments too much, but that has nothing to do with your song; people should comment on what you can fix, not what you can't.

The main thing I would have done differently was do the little trill you did in melody on the double-tracked vocals. That took away from the cohesiveness a bit. Also, there were a lot of places you could've places where harmony vocals would've fit quite nicely.

Overall, you're song was a nice way to begin my morning. I thank you for that.

Excellent work!!!!
Very improv sounding, wistful and melodic.
It somehow captures the feelings of dreamy infatuation and unrequited love at the same time.
The lines run around and chase each other while growing into thick, wonderful harmonies at the same time.

Excellent work!

Your melodies are very beautiful, the remind me of folk melodies. Have you thought about writing a piano part for this (to make it for a traditional trio) or even perhaps arranging it for a string quartet or quintet? Just some thoughts. I think that the latter would give way to making the individual parts easier (i.e. less double stops) so that it could realistically be played by a wider range of players.

The only constructive comments I have in regards to the actual composition are that I think the final cadence would have been more fitting arco, and that I would have replaced the Bb/A# sus2 chord with a C, to make the final cadence perfect.

Other than that great work, and I can't wait to hear this preformed by a real ensamble!

Absolutely amazing!
What work is this from? I have heard the lacrimosa from his requiem but this doesn't sound like It was dirived from that.
And btw, do you have sheet music for this? If you do it would be awesome if you could email it to me (c5guitarist@yahoo.com) b/c I am in the school's choir now and we do all male stuff like this in class.

Nice dude!
like the feel
reminds me of a jazz club kinda thing
not so much jazz as i think of it but more of a sinatra-esk style
(so like light jazz, lol)
I would have done the bassline as more of a walking bass but other than that kudos!
p.s. write out a jazz thing for guitar and bone and i'll record it for you lol
or just arr. this and send me the set, bass, and other stuff

This is really cool... really cool
lol you really went through and spliced in that guitar part, note for note?
wow... you have a lot of dedication.
I love the simplicity of it, like how little is actually going on, and yet it mezmerizes you.
I'd love to do guitar part over this (one like the one you have sort of, but If you would have made it longer with out having to splice in notes, I can do it longer. Plus I sorta have an idea for it)
If you are interested just give me a PM

Once again... wow
I love the percussion as well, it's nice to hear tasteful percussion instead of what some of the cats today are into - the whole play as fast and difficult as you can and drown everyone out.
I wish I was better at both piano and percussion, I just can;t seem to get the coordination down lol

oh and it would have been awesome to have like an improv vibe solo
I heard a little marimba in there already i think
lol

Medieval trails part 1 by Morris 3 years ago

Wow man this is really hardcore!
The only thing I would change is the brass sounds, to something a bit more real sounding. But this was recorded in the 80's...
It's just that realistic horns would tie in more with the medieval sound

Sweet Escape drumline remix by daspyda 4 years ago

Sweet Man!
the only thing is the whole use of the soundfont.
Ill show you make it meld together better on fri. Its not neccesarily leveling just that because of different verbs, no verbs, diff. eqs the DL doesnt mesh with everything else. I took me a long time to figure out how to do this on headphones lol so its not anything you would know how to fix. Tip. With the levels exspecially watch them in the mixer, do not use your ear! Headphones suck for mastering. even if you are using speakers the decibel levels don't lie. But nice job man. Very cool.
Inner Solstice v1.1 [quartet] by davidsmith99 4 years ago
Wow I love it. My only advice would be to possible add a woodwind choir in there. But then again Im a freshman in high school and you are a professional composer, lol. In regards to the taking out of dissonance, personally I am also fond of dissonance, though as fenixx said it is your music lol. I look forward to listening to your other works! (im dowloading them as we speak lol)

I Loved this man!!!
I would just like to hear mor tone in the melody.
The airy thing just wasn't doin it for me
did you make that sample yourself? (the airy lead thing)
can you even do that with reason?
In FL you can make your own with an osciolator
If you made it I would suggest substituting the white noise for a saw or square

Nice job dude!
Im really digging the groove.
The only thing I say to improve it is add more lines
Its pretty minimal right now but sometimes thats key! lol
It reminds me of some rap beat
this could be used as hiphop or w/e

Good job dude. This came from the heart I can tell. I just wish there was more going on. Maybe write it for 8 or 4 hands?
It just seems like a lead sheet kind of thing with melody and chords. I would think adding little soft counter-melodies would liven this thing up big time.
