![]() I'm sure glad you're recording again, haha. Not to much to say except **** do I wish I could get an acoustic sound like that... Goddam, man. Sounds like I'm in the room with you. Nice work as usual. |

![]() LOVE IT!! After that sick intro, I was definitely expecting some blazin'-fast metal to kick in, but I'm glad you held it off for a little while because I love what you did with it. It's more appropriate the way it is, waiting a little longer to hit that. This would be intense with a power metal/NWOTHM singer on it, dude. I'm telling you, we could be so big if we were in the same city, hahaha. Nice work, as usual! Love it! p.s. Production is crystal, man! Especially nice job on that! |

Haha, I'm hoping they'll stay up like my others. It was just the Tik Tok remix they noticed... I have a feeling it's mostly a "we're going to tell you not to post it but look the other way if you do" type of thing. You know, CYA and whatnot. But thanks for the feedback. Greatly appreciated! It's good to be back. ![]() |

Yeah, I made this WAY back before I had any idea about recording at all... The drums were done with a trashy keyboard, haha. My recording, needless to say, has improved a lot since these days. ![]() |

![]() Brilliant as usual... Obviously this one took a long to work through, it turned out amazing. The tracks and mixes get better every time, that's the important thing. This is phenomenal. I'd listen to an entire album of this type of stuff, haha. Problem is, this shows why it's no wonder these bands take a couple years of studio time to grind out a 14 song album. ![]() Nice work as usual. I don't even have the energy to pick out all the parts I liked best because there's too many. Love all of it, mayne. Including the mix, sounds awesome!!! |

![]() UM. Are you sure you don't want to move back to Dallas now that I'm finally returning?? Another killer mix... I wish I could upload the rest of my remixes but iComp is mad about copyright nonsense. Keep it up, this is another solid. I'd bother commenting on the mix, but you said it's not the final one so I'll let you have at it before I give another opinion. Structurally and musically it's good though. |

| Rihanna - Disturbia (Metal remix) by uptheirons106 | 2 years ago |
| Thanks for the kind words, Raven!! Yeah, this is definitely just a hobby. Music remains solely a creative outlet and stress release for me while I pursue bigger and better things in school. It'd be absolutely amazing to get a deal making these, but it's not a priority for me by any means. That being said, I'm really glad to hear you're digging my mixes!! That's very encouraging, to say the least. |

![]() BLOODY ****IN BRILLIANT!!! You know I'm a sucker for leads so that intro had me hooked like a damn seabass, haha. Then it kicks in and just gets better from there. Love the "simple yet well-written" main lead, obviously as that's an idea I attempt to purposely utilize in almost everything. The following thrash riff is EPIC too, dude. Love the harmonized part over it. The part after that (in between the 2, perhaps, "verse" parts??) sounds like something straight out of a track I'd write so you know I love that, haha. Middle section could be easily mistaken for "Planet Caravan"'s illegitimate love-child. Props on squeezing that in there so cleanly. (Yep, double entendre on cleanly, haha.) After that it sounds like Mustaine soloing over a riff by Maiden. Wonderful pair, if I do say so. Song could have used a tad more bass in my book, but it's really not that big of a deal. Metal bass is ridiculously unimportant in most cases anyway and you still get the feeling that the low end is there so it works out. |

| Not bad. A little bit of timing stuff with the vocals but I can imagine it's tough to record vocals at this tempo, it would drive me nuts, haha. If you feel curious, check out my Metal remix I just posted of Replay. You may enjoy it. In any case, nice work. With a little tweaking this could easily be revisited and made even better. |

| Oh ****!!! I didn't even know you had done this until you just commented on my track!! LOVE THIS!! I love the original so as soon as I saw it listed on there I absolutely had to check it out. Brilliantly done. Awesome guitar, spectacular vocals, background vox are quite complementary, all around great work. Simple and powerful, often my approach (though in other ways.) Keep it up! | |

![]() Oh Jordan... I honestly didn't think much could be added to this song to actually make it better (as opposed to simply making it equally as good yet different) but you've managed it. I never even thought of throwing samples like that in there. NOW this is a masterpiece. Honestly. Not much else to add comment-wise since I've pretty much covered it all before, haha. Bravo, this feels far more complete. Love the solo and harmonies hiding in there about 3/4 of the way through when it mellows a tad before unleashing on that outro (but you already knew I'd say I loved that, didn't you?) ![]() |

| The Prophecy [INSTRUMENTAL] by uptheirons106 | 2 years ago |
Thanks for the kind words everyone. Wish I had done it with MIDI stuff so I could easily alter the timing, but I recorded all the parts so I can't imagine it would be an easy process. Hopefully once the vocals get on here (REALLY soon now! All the lyrics are finished, rehearsed and just need to be RIPPED!) it will flow a little better and mask some of the discrepancies. So far I'm still really proud of the beat and definitely of the lyrics. I think I've written something that's pretty good, so I can't wait to finish it and get the final product up for everyone. ![]() |

![]() I second the Necro notion. This is actually a really hot remix. I don't say that lightly either, I'm pretty particular about remixes and mashups because they either fit perfectly or absolutely suck miserably. This is really, really tight. Sounds killer, mate. I'll definitely be checking out some more of your material, bro. (On a last note, I miss hearing the hook in there, but either way still fire.) |

![]() You, sir, had better have a damn good reason for not telling me you posted this... (What's that, like 10 days ago? What gives bro?!) Mix is tight, mate. Love the little adds you put in there from the last version. Hearing this one made me remember how much I liked the other version you put out as well. Definitely one of my favorites you've written and the tweaks in this version just brings the song to that much higher of a level, man. Can't to hear you writing again some time (hopefully sooner rather than later) but until then hopefully I can get something at least semi-completed so you can at least listen and critique if you can't write. You know, keep the ear 'trained' so to speak. Bravo, Jordan. Keep up the great work. |

![]() Oh snap, mate!! This is brilliant!! I'm definitely a huge fan of this. Mix is really tight (yeah, I agree the bass could be a teensy bit higher but believe you me, even like this it certainly doesn't detract at all being a little lower.) I keep waiting to hear "Ain't no place I'd rather be than chillin' with homies and family in my sky-high, iced-out paradise in the sky!" haha, in fact every time it gets to that part I've been sitting here singing it myself. ![]() Excellent work, I'll be passing this link along to some of my mates. Big ups, bro. |

![]() Tight track, mate. I can feel this... Beat is tight and the flow complements it well. Rhyme scheme is tight (which is something I always try to work out myself, which is why I took special note.) Only suggestions I can make are the following: 1) The vocals are mixed a teensy bit fuzzy so it's hard to hear you spit. You should post the lyrics so everyone can see the genius behind your rhymes. Ideally, it's mixed well enough that everything is understandable, but I know how hard that is to do. (I always post my lyrics too since I'm not exactly a brilliant producer or anything. It just gives everyone another aspect to dissect beside the music. Hip-hop is about how you work the English language after all.) 2) I prefer a little more climax in my beats. If you don't, that's fine. I would just personally build a little more and then drop off a little more. Adds more emotion, in my opinion. Then again, I do that because my hip-hop beats are generally extremely atypical of beats you hear today. (I like to have my guitars and real drum beats etc all ravaging the mix.) Just my 2 cents. Simply ways I would change it. Obviously you're not me, so my thoughts don't necessarily apply at all, but everyone likes to try something new sometimes, eh? Bravo, I definitely dig this track. Lookin' forward to hearing more from you, dude! |

![]() Uh..... wow. I'd love to sit here and break each riff down and tell you what I think about all of 'em, but there's no way or you to know which ones I meant, haha. I don't even know where to start with this one. It's pretty much a thrash masterpiece, literally. (You showed about half of those riffs at one point too, haha, so it's good to hear them put to use.) Brilliant work, love the harmonies as always, Not sure where I think you could fit a solo in, but it gets the job done without one (and definitely NEVER gets boring the entire way through. That's important.) Again, brilliant work. THAT'S the kind of thrash I love. (Hence why Coroner ellicts such an epic response from myself, haha.) Sad to hear you won't be writing for a while, but perhaps it's for the best. You'll come back at the right time and the product will be amazing... Give it some time and then let 'er rip when you're ready, mate. |

![]() Holy ****, bro!!! This is killer!! You're pretty much getting beastly with this thrash stuff... I've said it once, I'll say it again: we could have ruled the metal world together, my friend. Your thrash combined with my melodic influence, both of us soloing, etc. Quite the prospect, I must say. But back to this track. Love the harmonies and melodies you're beginning to incorporate a lot more. I'm rubbing off on you, haha. I'm kidding, but I do really like it. Drums are extremely complementary. Bass could have been a bit louder, but let's face it, thrash bass is nothing special. Usually follows guitar to the Tee, for sure. Working on a second listen now and I think other than the main harmonized riff, my favorite part is the long drawn out chords with the moving eighths underneath. Just brutal feeling all around though...Extremely well done. Your best thrash work yet, but then again you get better every time. (That's how it should be though, that's progress...) Great work! Look forward to jammin' with you when I get back to town for a week! ![]() |

| He's a Pirate/Pirates of the Carribean theme song (cover) by uptheirons106 | 2 years ago |
| Unfortunately, I don't really have Tabs... Sorry, bro. There's a basic Tab on ultimate-guitar (or 911tabs for that matter) which I used as a sort of foundation. At that point, I came up with my own rhythm part underneath it and then wrote my own harmonies. The solos were improv all the way (maybe a couple takes, couple different parts, but still improv.) Hell, I couldn't even play them again right now, haha. The leads I came up with were written like solos too so I improv'd them... Sorry bro. I can give you a general idea if you'd like if you're stuck on a certain part though. (Also it's in drop-wholestep, I believe.) Thanks for the kind words though, mate. Greatly appreciated! -Zack |

![]() ****, SON!!! KILLAAAAAAA!!! I'm DIGGIN' this, and that may be an understatement... Right from the get-go on that main riff man... drum kicks/fills are amazing! You're getting freakishly tight with those drum tracks too, man. Glad I could help you with that, you're definitely taking your stuff a new level with the drum stuff. They sound REALLY great. ![]() Love the solo about halfway through over the palm-muting. Plus when it kicks back into the heavy, unrelenting, face-smashing riff, the solo grows complementary to it, and I like that a lot. (Something I always try to do with my solos is follow the feeling of the rhythm and you definitely did a great job here with that.) Last note: You HAD to have expected me to comment on the harmonized part right after the solo. UP THE IRONS, BRO! That's killer (again, understatement) and a great outro to the track. The ONLY thing I would have done would have been to mix the rhythm guitars a teensy bit lower. That's about it. Fit them a little lower inside the drums and add just an equally teensy amount to the leads. That's just me though, I don't pretend to be a mixing expert or anything, you know that, haha. Just thought I'd share that with you in case you wanted to tweak or something. ![]() |

![]() Dude, I love this!!! I see you got a pretty good industrial drum feel there too, so I'm glad that worked out! That opening guitar lick is sick, dude. You know me, I revel at the idea of using something less complex to make something better than something perhaps more technical or flashy. Love it! Of course, I love the ending too. (You probably already knew I'd say that though, haha.) Excellent work! Glad to see you can finally get your "industrial" (for lack of more appropriate term) stuff done. I know you've waiting a while to unleash that material... ![]() |

![]() Snap, son!!! This is crazy tight... Love the key it's in. Just DEMANDS a spooky sort of macabre emotional response. Absolutely LOVE the chimes in the background! (Seriously wouldn't be the same without them.) And of course, the electric guitar is icing on the cake of death here. Magnificent! The harmonic is what does it for me personally... It just kicks you right in the face, in a good way. |

![]() Oh... ****, dude... I'd never heard of this suicide before, but the samples in there definitely make it. O.O That's an awfully emotional piece you've written, congrats! As usual, love the electric kick-in when it happens... Immense. The ending part really tickles my fancy too. The increase in intensity is mind-blowing. Really 'tugs at the heartstrings' if you know what I mean. Congrats! I like this one! Almost can't listen to it again right away because it really does grab at those emotions... I'm not exaggerating that it either. Might be the samples coupled with the music, but that's some seriously great work. |

| Thanks for the comments, guys! For the record, the singing is my best friend Richard's doing. I have a good falsetto, but it's nothing like his. Mine only sounds nice as a background vocal or as sort of a supplement, haha. Thanks for the kind words, again. Rapping is a lot of fun for me because I can't sing too well and for some reason it's easier for me to write lyrics in a rap style. (Perhaps the drum thing or rhythm thing, I guess.) |

![]() Love it, dude!!! Personally, more than the last one! This is way closer to my cup of tea, I think. Or maybe I'm just on a heavy/power/old-school metal kick at the moment, hahaha! Either way, bravo! Well done. Love the old-school tone a lot. The little lead fills are awesome too. That's one of my favorite things to write too, so I definitely feel you on those. Gotta love when it breaks out in the middle too. Absolutely spectacular, and a wonderful riff to solo over, mate! Beautiful work with the drums too, dude. You're getting a hang of that program quicker than I, as I haven't bothered with it much yet. I'm very impressed though and I can't wait to use it more myself. Love the Maiden harmonies post-solo too. Obviously. Maybe this summer if we get a bunch of time I could get Richie to vocalize over it for you. Assuming you would like that of course. You've heard Richard sing so it's your call. Splendid outro too, by the way. Really diggin' that...Great work! Your best yet! ![]() |

![]() Nicely done! Doesn't Faith No More cover this one too??? Again, loving the vocal lines on the guitar thing, haha. That's more fun than people think. ![]() This is one is nice and mellow. I like how smooth it is too! Love the electric 'slides' thrown in the background too. Solo fits surprisingly well. I wasn't entirely sure if you'd out one in here once it started playing but it's actually really well done. Love the fade out at the end of it too. Timing is stellar almost entirely too. Diggin' the new software then? ![]() Personally, the ending is a tad bit abrupt for my tastes, but that's just me. Everything else was wonderful. ![]() |

![]() DUDE! Holy crap! Nice work!!! This is one of those songs which is kind of depressing when you listen to it, haha, but this cover is stellar! That acoustic tone is great, mate. I take it that one worked out for you then or did you tinker with another one or something? I especially like the distorted guitar and solo. I love how you throw those pinches in there (something I've never been able to do well enough to actually utilize.) Nice work! I like this one a lot, dude! p.s. The soloing fade into the outro gets me EVERY TIME. Something about it just clutches your soul and won't let you free. Placement and timing of that outro was epic dude. Nicely done. |

| Thanks a lot, Eido! Past 6 mo. or so I've been tinkering with the Acoustic a LOT more than usual. Picked up a bunch of new fingerpicking techniques (which are demonstrated here of course) and have overall just gotten a lot more comfortable with an acoustic (which I used to avoid generally unless need be. Or for Chili Peppers cover and whatnot, of course.) Thanks definitely for the kind words! They mean a lot! Mixing is getting a lot better, eh? ![]() Thanks again, mate! |

| Thanks for the comments, Eido and Eric. @Eido: That's encouraging. I'll have to play around with that on the next track... Should be recording the vocals to 'Ceaseless' pretty soon because Richard wants a recording to review with before our big show. I'll do some research into that one, it seems to be a common suggestion I'm getting on iComp and elsewhere as well. @Eric: REALLY appreciate the kind words on the solo. I'm especially proud of that one. First one I sat down and actually planned out (so I can recreate it for shows.) |

![]() Epic, epic, EPIC! I didn't know the song beforehand so I skimmed it first on the internet... I really like what you've done with it! It's recognizable yet you definitely made it your own. Killer solos too, plus the harmonies are wonderfully done. Sometimes harmonizing tends to get out of hand (I know, because I'm guilty of it sometimes...) but you did it perfectly. Well-placed, definitely. Love when the octave kicks in underneath the harmonies too. Oooh, that's intense! ![]() Nice work! Assuming I'm correct about the tribute, nicely placed! I won't ruin it for anyone else then, they can message you if they're that curious, haha. Then again, I may be wrong and have missed it entirely. Hahaha. |

![]() SPECTACULAR! Aw dude, seriously... We could have made beautiful music together if we were still in the same state. We could do it over the internet with recording stuff but this is the kind of thing that gels so much better when you're sitting there hashing the whole track out with someone else. I'll have some new stuff up and your awesome tracks lately are giving me a TON of great ideas for things I want to do now! I'm already going to do acoustic stuff for my 'in-between' tracks when I make my hip-hop album (instead of stupid skits and stuff.) In any case though, excellent work. I really dug the solo at the end. ![]() |

Hahaha, thanks a TON, mate!!! That means a lot from you since we played so much together as I was learning my basics. I've come a long way and it all feels natural now. Granted, I don't have the tightest technical prowess or fastest chops... plus I can't sweep... BUT, I always thought I could write and organize songs strongly. (Probably comes from the Frusciante-influence more than anything, haha.)There will be more in the near future, I guarantee that. ![]() |

| Figured the song out for you: Red Hot Chili Pepper's "My Friends" Your track is great though. I really like it. It's not THAT close to the Peppers track, which is what you wanted to hear, I'm sure. More reminiscent than anything as it just sort of presents the listener a sense of closeness if they're a fan of them. Great solos and stuff as always. Excellent progression through the song. I really liked the development you used. I hear a couple of the timing things, which is alright. Nothing too terrible or anything. You ever try recording with a drum loop and then deleting the loop? Helps me a ton. |

| The Prince (Acoustic) [Diamond Head Cover] by Heartland | 3 years ago |
![]() ......OH. Yes, dude!!! One of the greatest NWOBHM of all time!!! NICE WORK! I'm really digging the groove on this one. I really like the little lead bridge over the rhythm in the middle of the song. Sounds exactly like something I would throw into one of my songs. Excellent powerful outro too. Good thinking with the heavy guitars to close it out. Really effective! Again, dude. Killer work. This is really good. I love doing acoustic covers of songs like this too, even though I never record them or really share 'em. We could have made a killing on acoustic cover albums, haha. ![]() |

![]() Were those drums done with Beatcraft? Man, I need to get that program again. Immensely powerful. I miss this song... ![]() We should collab on something like this. Seriously... That would be a lot of fun! |

| Aftermath (Acoustic) [Armored Saint Cover] by Heartland | 3 years ago |
![]() Dude... yes! Armored Saint FTW! I haven't listened to them in ages! Now I feel like revisiting them again! Very nicely done... Great track to choose for this type of project too. Excellent work. I'm impressed. |

![]() Mega. Baller. Seriously... Absolutely killer. Excellent work! I could let this play in the background all day and just run that while I got my work done, haha. In my opinion, that defines great techno/dance/remix tracks. Great work again. I practically forgot about this track until I stumbled upon this. ![]() |

![]() Spectacular! I was curious to hear if anyone else had covered this as well... (I only knew of 2 on iComp, haha.) Nice work. I quite like this. The strings sound awesome and the choir in the background grabs you and just doesn't let go! Excellent rendition! Much enjoyed! ![]() |

| Thanks for the tips, mate. Yeah, I'm awfully critical of this version actually. In fact, I can't listen to it anymore without almost cringing, haha. I hear every single one of my mistakes. You just get tired of doing take after take after take. I mean, I just do this for fun, not for an actual album or whatever so sometimes I just have to satisfied with a less than perfect result. Thanks for the comment though, man. ![]() |

| "WHHHHHYYYYY can't we not be sober?" Haha, cool, man! I dig this. I agree that the guitar tone, if cleaned up, would work wonders on this track, but other than that, I love it. I can still definitely feel exactly what you were going for, so it works out in the end. Nice work, mate! |

| Ahh, thanks Eido! Yeah, the weather here has been disgusting and wild temperatures all the time has wreaked havoc on my baby, hence the unfortunate increased propensity to lose tune lately. That, and and playing much more often didn't help whn I forgot to double-check a few times, haha. Glad you liked it. Maiden-izing was something I really wanted to do and I had a ton of fun doing it. Glad to hear oyu dig BNW too, that's my mate Joe's favorite Maiden album, haha. My favorite new (second-era **** inson) one is probably DOD, but we'll leave that for another time... Many thanks again, Eido. As always, your kind words are greatly appreciated. -Zack |

| A Christmas Cradle by herrsolera | 3 years ago |
![]() When the piano kicks in as the marker gets underneath the "A" in the title - right after 'Wish you a Merry Xmas'... is that your original melody? That was driving me insane for a while trying to figure it out and the only thing I kept thinking of was "Uh.... Sonata Arctica?" Hahaha. Killer piece, mate. Nothing to say here except what's already been previously remarked by everyone else. I love it. Especially that piano bit (the first and second time slightly past then...) Excellent, excellent, excellent work. |

Oh that's right! I forgot you covered this one too! I remember yours now, I quite enjoyed it! A lot in fact, now that I recall. ![]() Thanks a lot, mate. I had a lot of fun with the extra leads, as that's one of my favorite things to write, haha. Thanks again, I really appreciate it! |

| We Wish You A Metal Christmas by Eidolonia | 3 years ago |
| Oh God, I wish I could get my mixes to sound like that and not get cloudy as a stormy sky... Excellent work! I dig it! I would have liked to have heard the entire song covered into a metal version (though that's become perhaps cliché now, but nevertheless. THe lead guitar does get drowned just a tat and could handle a volume increase of juuuuuust a little bit. Other than that, awesome. |

I agree! I think Tiesto did an amazing job with his version and he obviously plays a totally different style of music. I definitely think POTC has one of the best-written soundtracks out there. ![]() Thanks for the comment! It's greatly appreciated. |

| We Ride! by uptheirons106 | 3 years ago |
Hahaha, thanks again, Eido! All things considered, your hatred is much appreciated. ![]() I played with a different tone on this one to bring out the constant mashing and wanking on the root notes of the chords. The other one sounded really muddy so I brightened it up. Definitely makes for a more melodic tone, I think. Thanks again for the kind words. I'll have to see what I can do about all the clipping... That'll be my next project. ![]() -Zack |

| Red Hot Chili Cover by saxman | 3 years ago |
![]() Personally, this owned. I think it's terrible how little credit "One Hot Minute" gets as an album because it was with Dave Navarro... That being said, this is an excellent rendition of (arguably) the best track on that album. You certainly made it your own. Personally, I would have made the vocals just a teensy bit louder and dropped the harmony vocals a little bit, but other than that, it's very good. Some of the sound FX stick out a bit, blah blah blah. Really an excellent job! Great work! |

| Flagrant Vagrants by LedHed77 | 3 years ago |
Yeah, we just stuck a loop in the whole way to hold tempo as we recorded... I'm looking for a new way to use the recordings I have of the bum metal drum sounds, so until then the loop will just do. I agree, it sucks, but until we get our signature trash-cans thrown in, this is about it. ![]() |

| See You In Hell (Richard Version) by LedHed77 | 3 years ago |
No bass on this either... I just figured out how to use the "virtual instruments" in Mixcraft today so I just ignored them [bass] for this version. That's why it sounds a little lop-sided without that low end. ![]() One take solo, too. I didn't have the energy to piss around with a bunch of takes. Other than that, it went quite well at least as far as an "audition" I guess. |

| Thanks for the tips. I feel like I most CERTAINLY have to revisit this one now, haha. Good thing I kept all the tracks on the laptop for this one at least... I'll definitely up the bass, add some solos and probably lead riffs too. Thanks again! m/ |

| "Deimos... Phobos..." by uptheirons106 | 3 years ago |
More excellent suggestions! Thanks very much! I think this'll more than certainly have to be revisited and tweaked around a little more. I don't know much about mixing or the different ways to enhance my sounds (through equalization and whatnot) so those tips were very helpful! ![]() |

| Dig Up Her Bones (Misfits cover/acoustic rendition) by uptheirons106 | 3 years ago |
| Well thanks for the kind words again. I love the Misfits (Graves just as much as Danzig but in a different incomparable way musically) and just thought this would be a really cool concept in a cover. The majority of feedback I've received has agreed, so it was worth the while, haha. Thanks for your response! Always appreciated! Also glad to hear my singing was good enough too, haha. Graves has a HELL of a vocal register, hahaha. ;-P |
