Everything's in it's right place on this Missy, you've done a cool job here, great drum track and breaks/variety in the track as it progresses.

I think you should feel happy with what you have produced here, you've really added a new dimension to Leesa's vox.

(update - having 'lived' with 'Your Spoon' a while now I think you really have nailed it here, although right from initial play I liked it, it's only after several listens picking up how much went into this, one complaint, why aint you posting more? )

Thx Alan, wow year and a half ago posted 'Sol G' (original on link below)

http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=56562

I must admit 'Solitary Girl' has got played by me several times when I've done 'zallaz unplugged' gigs and Rhonie's lyrics even with my dodgy vocals have picked up kudos from folk, so it demonstrates R writes awesome lyrics for sure. smiley

Somebody Got Murdered (Clash cover) by PinkFreud 1 month ago
5

smiley Well speaking as a Clash obsessive this is bloody terrific, you nailed it PF.

In the last 24 hours I've heard two great versions of 'Somebody Got Murdered' the first was from 'The Clash Live At Shea Stadium' where Strummer is very tongue in cheek berating the audience, and now yours too, wow!

PF you've got the feel spot on and your vox are really 'Mick Jones-esque', well done.

You've reminded me that Joe Strummer used to do this live with The Mescaleros and Latino Rockabilly War Band back in the day.

Big thumbs-up, brave thing to do and it worked. smiley

This is very listenable, which is surprising as It's lifted from a camcorder, with a few adjusts in GB, excellent audio, everythings in the right place, I guess they got the board right that day too, cracking lead there Bob, said this before but you really nail those lead breaks.

BTW I've never heard of this song before and you say everyone and his dog has covered it, guess I missed it somehow!

Yes your panache for avoiding covers?? Talk about confusing! smiley

I stayed with the track from start to finish and the more it progressed the less I could liken it to anything, so thumbs up for originalality too.

Cool authentic vocals, you have potential for sure, I don't know if any 'open mikes' in your neck of the woods I'd suggest you go for it and give it a try.

It's strange for some reason a live situation just seems to 'sharpen' people up 'raise their game' I have no idea if you have leanings toward a live situation but be cool if you did. smiley
Ex Astra Cuniculus - 1 - "Only Human" by Surak 2 months ago
5

Sounds great, the vocals are in keeping with the track, think about it there's a minor very obscure track called 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by some dudes from Seattle, the vocals on that?

It's rock music not 'English Elocution' hey how's this for songs with speech impediments 'My Generation - The Who, Changes - Bowie' you can even stutter your way through a cla, cla, cla cla, classic r, r, r, r, rock song! smiley

Just make the music you want Surak it's been working great up to now. smiley

Given a choice I'd listen to your stuff over Metallica no hesitation.

I liked Neil's original in my opinion that alone was 'industry Standard', then when you chose to run with the track Hayley too there as a slight air of anticipation here at zal central.

What can i say it's terrific, if anything your absence has been a bonus because your back sounding as good as ever HD. Emotional delivery, well written lyrics, I cannot find anything negative here.

Hope to hear a few more tunes out of you Ms D, keep up the good work.
