I don't know if this is an appropriate post, so if not, let me know and I will remove it.
I am a IComp member, but I also do editing and post production for wedding videographers around the country.
I am looking for some tunes to use in short wedding videos - typically 3-6 minutes, contemporary, with vocals, medium tempo, and of course with a positive "Love" theme.
I want to feature new artists. We are looking for something free (or cheap) as we don't make a lot off each video. You would, of course, get credit on the video (your name, photo and web link), and some of our work finds it's way to various vide competitions and exposure on YouTube.
If I can find a sufficient number of tune I am thinking of putting together an online service where other video and post production facilities and buy/license music for wedding (and other types of) videos,
Post here or send me a message.
Thanks!
Greg

I have idea for you ... We can write and compose special song(s) for your wedding subjects. And charge for the compositions...they would be unique and dedicated to the couple. |

LAGUSAYA2 - Thanks for the suggestion. As I only do the editing, I have no contact with the end users. I will definitely mention it to the video companies who actually have the contract with the clients.
WAYNE1VOICE - I appreciate your suggestion but what I am trying to avoid is to use music owned or copyrighted by a major artist on a major label... even if it isn't played by the original artist. We recently did a video which had the bride & groom dancing to a popular song that the DJ played for them. We posted their video on YouTube... and within 15 minutes of posting we got an email from Sony Records advising that our video contained a song owned by them or one of their artists, and we needed to remove the video. I didn't put the music in the video - the DJ was playing it - but Sony said it was a copyright violation.
There are some music services out there where I can buy royalty-free music, but it's usually just some studio musicians who make "sound-alike" recordings and that is doing nothing to promote artists like those here.
Thanks for the input!

I compose music for Weddings along side media so feel free to work with me. It is sometimes helpful to have some idea of music wanted such as a copywrited temp track so that I can assertain the instrumentation and style - its difficult to articulate and get over the effect one wants.
Orchestration is a speciality but any genre and style is fine.
PM me if interested |
