The past weeks I experience more and more often that the iCompositions server does not respond at all.
It is not getting slow or anything. It is not there at all. Not a single byte making the browser time out.
I have not listened to half the music I used to because half the times I try to access there is no response. And when I am persistant and keep retrying it takes minutes. Sometimes 5 minutes before it is back. Maybe more. I usually give up.
First I thought that I had an ADSL problem but now I try each time to reach other sites and I have no problem. I also try from my iPhone which uses quite a different service provider. And I try from work which is a 3rd ISP that connects to the Internet from either Germany or Poland. It is for sure the iCompositions server that goes down
I have the feeling the server is resetting itself or Apache is going down and comes up later with a cron job. The fact that the server does not respond slowly but is either flash fast or not there at all indicates either a severe software or hardware stability problem and not just overload.
Is the admin aware of these problems? Do we need to raise funding for new server? I will gladly contribute then |

We just discovered an administrative process that was misconfigured and seemed to be taking the site down periodically. I've fixed the configuration problem and am optimistic that the site will be significantly more stable. Please let me know whether you notice an improvement over the next few days. |

I have listened all night and checked up on the site all day. I have not had any timeouts. The site as been available each time I checked. So it seems to be working what you did. |

A last follow up.
I have not had a single event where the site did not respond at all since PM told us he had fixed something. The site has worked very well. |

I am still experiencing dropouts during playback on all tunes in Safari.
Multiple times. And I don't think it's due to buffering. |
