Here is my updated top 10 wishlist for GarageBand '12 that I submitted to apple through the 'Provide GarageBand Feedback' menu in GarageBand. Anyone who likes this wishlist can feel free to copy it and paste it in a feedback/feature request to Apple
In addition to all current GarageBand features/functions:
1. Multi-input/Multi-track software instrument recording. For example record a software drum track with a USB e-drums controller, while your bandmate simultaneously records a piano track using a USB keyboard style controller. This, of course, would also work while recording multiple simultaneous real instrument/guitar tracks.
2. An eSessions VirtualGlass-like AU plugin that would work with your MobileMe account to collaborate on GarageBand projects remotely over the internet. See http://esession.com/tutorial/player/Questionnaire.html?s=8&q=1
3. Ability to program and change time signatures, key signatures, and tempos in the Arrange track.
4. Simple right-clickable audio editing functions in the real instrument track editing pane. Cut, Copy, Paste, Silence, Normalize, and REVERSE.
5. Flex Time editing is awesome! Now, how about Flex Pitch editing too? They could actually be combined and just called Flex editing.
6. An intelligent "remove noise" filter in each real instrument track. Similar to the one in Soundtrack Pro. A simple de-esser would also be nice.
7. An automatic Chord and Arpeggio generator on software instrument tracks.
8. An additional AU insert on the Master Track, for a total of two.
9. Control/mixing/transport surface support. How about even just 'midi-learn' mode to set-up GarageBand's functions with the controller of your choice?
10. Please give GarageBand software instruments the same capabilities under-the-hood as Logic software instruments. I'd love to be able to use software instruments that utilize key-switching, scripts, etc, without having to resort to using Kontakt or another 3rd-party sampler.
Of course in addition to all of this, please give us more JamPacks, more Guitar Amps, Bass Amps, and more software and real instrument settings. |

I want it to have an automatic $10 million dollar record deal button on each file. Or maybe a support function that has a six pack of cold beer and a pizza delivered to you if you have been working non-stop for more than twelve hours on a project without a break. That would be nice.
Seriously, I'd like to be able to buy midi instruments for a decent price and NOT have to pay for 10,000 loops I do not want to use. |

The ability to merge .band files together, even if they have multiple tempos. I know there are workarounds, but I'd like to keep one monster of a song in one GB file, whether it's an Import feature or to quote Jay "It would be downright sweet if I could have two GB files open at the same time and drag-&-drop between them."
Also, maybe it's just me but has anyone notice how great you songs sound while listening to them GB, but then when saved out (even to an uncompressed .aif), it still just doesn't sound as good. (?) |

bass amps, currently all the amp models are geared towards guitars and don't even pick up the bass frequencies of my bass every well, and this is even using a good input hats been set up properly. it also be nice if the program could accommodate more volume and especially more bass before is starts fuzzing out and getting buggy.
I do a lot of metal with a "everything louder than everything else, up to eleven, etc", philosophy and GB just can't handle the power |

5) You can edit pitch in the little drop down. This may be different than what you want however, its worked great for me. The one thing I'd add with the edit functions is the ability to copy and paste the little dots on the lines with volume and things. You can't do that in ine and its a pain in the ***.
See the drop down icon? You can add stuff there from the filters and such section.
6) Its not intelligent, but there is a remove "s" filter in the Visual EQ drop down menu. Its not great, but some manual tweaking really helps after the initial filtering... I would like one that acts sorta like a compressor and is active, so like, throughout a track it keeps the same level and volume and filtration without me having to alter it at all manually.
7). Yes please! |

Keep it simple for those who want to concentrate on making Music...
Thatīs what itīs all about.
AND: Keep it stable, and not eating up all CPU Power !
On my iMac GB takes more CPU Power than Logic Express 9 |
