Hi,
I can crossfade a recorded guitar or vocal track, but it doesn't work with a recorded midi track using a built-in instrument. Can this be done?

I believe it doesn't work with MIDI tracks unless you "raster" the MIDI instrument into a real track. |

If what you want to do is fade out the sound of one midi track and fade in another midi, then you can use automation of the volume on the two tracks and fade one in and the other out.
It is not difficult to do. Key word is automation |

Automation, hit A on the keyboard. You can automate everything, every parameter of every effect, volume panning and more it's incredibly useful. |
