How can do a full mix?

Hi Sarah, being the one who made the original comment, I guess I should help you solve it.
The mix is absolutely fine except for the vocals. Find your vocal track in GarageBand and you'll see a knob with L and R next to it. Turn it to the right to move the vocals more central in the mix.
Listen to it on headphones and you'll be able to judge it better. |

Also, try recording on channel 2 on mono only. |

Your mic is a mono source. If you tell GB to treat it as a stereo source (2 channels) it will give you sound on one side and silence on the other because your mic is plugged into one channel and nothing is in the other. Generally, stereo mics are only used with film and video cameras or field recorders but not in recording music.
So, your mic is mono as is your electric guitar for that matter. Select mono single channel for its track's source. You MAKE it stereo in how you mix it and use stereo effects on it. |
