I'd like to know how other users of both Reason and GB use these two programs to complement eachother? Right now I'm learning Reason, but I'm competent with GB. |

GB can run Reason as ReWire slave, which means that GB actually takes control of Reason. This works like a charm. Only problem I've had with this so far is that Reason, when running alongside GB has to much delay when recording from my MIDI-keyboard. |

I would love to be able to use the ReDrum drum module in Reason in GB, but haven't had much luck. It won't seem to save any of the changes in patterns and just records the last pattern in the sequence.
Anybody have any advice? |

michael,
check around on all parties involved. Look for any buffer settings and set them so that there is the least delay. Or try changing (if you can) where you are monitering from. I have found that using any MOTU audio i/o device allows direct hardware playthru. Meaning you can always monitor input and playback at the same time. |

I've been checking out the Reason preferences and haven't found any latency settings there at all. Reason is the only application that gives me this problem. (Haven't tested it when running as slave to Live to see if it's a GB/Reason/Rewire-specific problem yet). |

Wow, I wasn't aware of that. Is there a resource with more information on how to do this and how it works? |

Not much hassle to do it. You start GB, then start Reason, open the project you want in both GB and Reason. When you hit play in GB, Reason will start playing along side it... |

nice to know man. Reason complete the use of GB having inifnite synth, drum, effects possiblitieis and GB make some more order in Reason that is a little dispersive... |
