Raise the Flag!
Trilobite2 has come up with a brilliant idea! While in chat the other day, we were talking about how iC is such a great community of people from all over the world and Trilo forged an idea of us actually mailing something around the world that we sign and send on to another member...on and on...and on....
So, we have produced a white flag, 3' x 5', with iC's logo on it (with PM's permission). To start it off, Trilo will sign it and mail it to someone he picks. That person will sign it and mail it to someone they pick. On and on...and on...with the ending being detailed in the package itself.
The rules are:
1. When you are contacted by the holder of the Flag and asked to sign it, you may choose to decline, of course, or accept with the acknowledgement that you will sign it and then contact the next person not yet on the Flag. (To whom would you send it? A special friend? The first person to comment on your first tune? Your first collab partner? Your favorite artist?) We hope for no let down in the continuing circulation of the Flag, so please choose well. When it's totally full, there is a surprise planned.
2. Please keep your personalization of the Flag to a small area. We hope to have many people participate. And sign only on the front side, as the back will not be seen in the end production. Your personalization could include your iC handle, your real name, the date, your location, and a very brief sentiment regarding iC. Please don't sign on the logo.
3. Please abide by the iC chat rules and keep the content on the Flag PG rated. This is a representation of our pride and happiness with and for iC -- a family site.
4. Take a photo of you (or a concept/facsimile of you) with the Flag and post it in the Raise The Flag Forum. That way we all can watch it go around the world...hopefully many times.
5. Try to pass the Flag on within 1 week.
6. When the Flag is full, it is returned to Trilobite2 for its final transformation. We'll keep tabs on it through the photos posted and ask for the judgement of the holders as the Flag nears signature capacity.
As Trilo says, "Who has it? Where is it? Where has it been? Where will it go? It gives people a chance to show respect, pride, and honor. It bonds us and introduces us to others. It creates a historical artifact to hang in the future when iComp is the world government and peace has been achieved."

Anyways... Bec has it all laid out for you. Follow the rules and lets see what we can do with this.

kool idea... when you get it in the mail sign it, take the photo and send it.. if you keep the flag for a week, it will take like 3 years before all ICīs have writtin on it..  ..but im gamed.. westcoast Denmark in da house..  |
