Everybody Folk Off!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dylan has been an integral soul here at our Icompositions community just about since Icomps first came live online. Apart from his own great writing and performance talents, he has selfishly collaborated and contributed to so many of our songs and projects. Regardless of how silly or serious the musical moment was, Dyl has always been a strong friend of the musical art we aspire and inspire around these parts.
I wanted to capture Dyl’s musical soul if for but a moment in album form as a tribute to how he has inspired me musically. My independent label PATCH Records in conjunction with Dyl’s recording and publishing efforts, recently released Folk Off, the debut album release of the man I affectionately call “The Toulouse Troubadour”.
We enthusiastically encourage you to buy the album here: http://cdbaby.com/cd/dyl
I promise a sublime listen taking you on a journey of unrequited love, heartbreaking abandon and stories told.
After doing the usual digital dance and industry arm muscling, the cuts from the record are now also available as individual downloads at iTunes so that you can get a song at a time if you like right here:
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=318341059&s=143441
The songs were carefully culled with Dyl’s own 25 years of recording appreciation giving this record a distinct haunting yet comforting sound. The album features collaboration performances in writing, music, singing and playing from other Icomp artists such as Barretok, JKane, BrnPetra, UncleTupelo, and others. The album was professionally mastered in Chicago in the same studios used by bands such as the Smashing Pumpkins, Wilco, Cheap Trick, Alejandro Escovedo and other recording artists.
The result is a record we are very proud of and one you should own! Get the whole package or grab it song at a time now – and please do type a few words about what you think of the record.
If you have some of the songs already in your collection from your Icomps experiences, I encourage you to get a download at iTunes to hear the final album version and audio differences a professional mastering provides.
