Hello my friends,
There is no easy way to say this but my dear friend, our dear friend, Geo (FatChance) passed away Sunday night due to complications rising from his diabetes.
I have no other information at this time.I will post it here as I get it.
iComp's light is a little dimmer for the loss of a great talented man and a gentle man.
If anyone else can add to this information please feel free to do so.
He was as close as a friend that I ever had and I will miss him greatly.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Tom

May God bless his family, as he is brought back home. Fatty will be missed, but rest assured that he is free from pain and in a much better place now.
I look forward to that day when once again I will hear his voice saying,
"I'm with you fellers."
"got time for a bawdy joke" |

Geo, embraced me immediately in the chat room I remember talking to him about Graphic Design techniques before computers took over the industry and we had a great laugh about that. Such was his laugh, even though it was not a healthy laugh it was a warm and uniquely Geo. He taught me so much about music techniques and I will be eternally grateful to him for that as well as his warm friendship he showed me.
Geo, the gates of heaven have opened for you now and you can play your guitars to your heart's content without any worries in the world. You know how much your were loved by all of your friends here in iComp, you were our 'Father' figure. You will be missed mate.
Rest in peace my friend.

You summed it up Tommy, the light shines a little dimmer. But in a way I am glad for him, he had lost his independence, without the things he held dear around him, what was there to live for?
He was always telling me he loved me...I love you too
Rest well for the moment Geo

I feel blessed that I could call George my friend, many a night we would spend hours on Skype laughing and telling stories.
I think I was one of the few who he would send Mp3 to requesting "Daver what do yu think? Don't be shy Daver tell me the truth" Many a morning we would have the breakfast club on Chat Me, Bernardo, Lou, and Doc (Ashley Beanhead) and every morning Geo would greet us with: Kang Bee-Daver- Mr Bean LOL we would truly laugh at our own bad jokes about Canadian Bacon.
George did many things for me he was always willing to help with tech advise and what ever I needed he would deliver. We had our little old folks page "The Curmudgeons" which was a blast...
and I will never ever forget those familiar words
"I love you man" "You are a human Bean" and many more that I cannot remember in this moment of stress and sadness..
George was my friend and I will deeply miss him, he was very ill these last few months, and despite many attempts to call him (he never picked up)I feel that in some way I let him down, I did send him cards and such but have no idea if he got them.
Today is a sad day for me, but George I will never forget you for the kind and loving Human Bean you are..
God Bless George and his Family...We have lost a true icomps legend...

From a very special friend who George loved & admired:
Geo was my champ. Last year, even though he was in great physical pain and going through some rough times, he took the time to help me connect with mutual musicians in my home town--he was that kind of guy. Geo was a consummate musician, a dear friend, and a loving and helpful support to many artists. I shall never forget him.
I like to think there's special place for musicians when they leave here--and right now I hope Geo is up there holding one of the greatest jam sessions ever with all of his musical idols.
Rest in peace Geo, we will miss you greatly.

I am so sad. I had been wondering about you, Geo. I hope that what they say is true, that it's a moment of great release, where the infinite soul sheds it's husk and remembers it's eternal freedom...
Hopefully I will see you someday, on the other side.... |

fc was a huge part of this community and will be sorely missed. The only consolation is that his long and terrible suffering is finally over.
