wow, thanks folks!
This was originally composed on my Roland groovebox. I recently resurrected it and ran it through GarageBand adding processed vocals and tidbits. Been experimenting with recording whole pieces into GB and remixing, It definately warms up old, dry synth only stuff. Working on some more!
No pre-made loops by the way!

Dilerious. Delightful. mood and motion mystic. Great piece.

In regaurds to your strange lyrics wanted...
I will try to get you some vocal ranting when i have a chance. you would be welcome to use any of the parts we created for the GunDove collaboration contest ( http://www.icompositions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1710 ) Seth Jaquay posted many great vocal parts, or you could visit public domain sites that provide a wealth of stuff, you just have to spend the time searching for what you want...

somebody would probably kill me for saying this, but there's a bit that reminds me of an aphex twin song... interesting.

yes lillichi, aphex twin, without the drum machine on steroids!
Other influences: cocteau twins, bel canto, Kate Bush, orb and the like.

Another nice find. Had to look over my shoulder a few times...haunting...in a good way, not dangerous, but a hint of longing in the voices.

Eerie, haunting, mystic, and flavorful. Doesn't get much more creative this. The combination of steel-drums and the chilling voice screams awesomeness. The trickling beats are keepers. Keep it up, you've got mad crazy skills.

Very cool sounds you are using. I dig you're use of the voices changing pitch and direction. It's a nice mixture of chill beats and dreamy electronic sounds. Well done!

I just can't get over the number of Amazing musicians I still haven't heard here on iComp! Well, I guess you're off the list now that I've heard you.

It is a wacky idea, but I'd like to hear a collaboration between elder and btransue. I bet the two of them could come up with some pretty interesting stuff!

I particularly like the "Chinese" music, but also the water sounds against the refrain. I like the undance drum machine line. I like the way there are patches which keep the work bound up and organic, though deeply cleft and frayed.

I enjoyed the listening experience a lot (very creative) and will surely listen to more of your staff - read through the comments and now have a question - u write Bel Canto as an influence - I have only seen them ones in Hamburg live in front of what maybe 200 people and I fell in love with their work and especially the voice - ever since I am looking for them but cannot find anything - any idea
Tnx

that's what i'm talking about MFer's!

beautifully unconventional and organic.
and despite influences, you sound completely of your own creation.

it's great when a method or idea is the influence instead of any particular type of "sound"

when i get back to my normal comp i'm giving this a download

unrated, as i feel i could express how it felt better in words then with "stars" that get used so widely that they tend to lose meaning.

i'll be checking out more!

Yeah, who needs those nasty stars anyway.
And yes, my sound has always been my own odd, unlabelable genre.
Hopefully it's just entertaining.
Thanks for the comments.

I played this backwards and was told that your music will cause my head to fragment into triangular shaped pieces and then fly apart, one piece at a time. Is this true, Elder? What aren't you telling us??
