Thanks Ian! And I've been listening to your stuff in my ipod all day! I guess people seem to like my spacey stuff better than the beats. Well, we'll do some more. GB certainly leads you into very dense compositions. Hard to stay minimal! This is another one recently remixed in GB. Gosh I miss my old setup. I had groovebox, korg and kawai hardware triggered by Mixman which was also triggering Absynth software synth- all from an older powermac. OMS was king! I wish GB would trigger MIDI. I'd dig out all the old boards. I even have an ancient ARP Axxe! BTW,cover art is my pencil drawing modified in photoshop. I'd like to put more covers in but uploading is a problem. elder

thanks all. to answer icecubecastle's question this is an older track originally created in my old studio as noted above and recently remixed in GB with added parts. GB tends to lead me into very dense compositions, but this one turned out rather well. Vocals hot, eh? I've had one or two pieces played on other sytems sound overdriven, but they sound OK here, on the ipod and in the car. I wonder what the cause is.

I don't think I can stretch how much I love this. This is so awesome. I'm usually not a fan of this sort of Sting-type music, but, this is definitely an exception. My gosh, this is so cool. It's on my favorites, and, it has been downloaded. I try to steer away from just handing out all 5's, but, this is an exception. BRAVO! -Cameron

Oh, this is just too flippin' cool. I like the male vocal. It sounds oddly close in opposition to the distant space of much of the other elements. Very cool. I love the guitar parts. Are they you, or are they samples. Regardless,... ... wonderful. I just wish I'd have done it. a timeless, beautiful work. tin man

Thanks Cameron and Tinman. this composition evolved over a looooong time. spoken vocal is me, an excerpt of words a poet friend of mine wrote. guitar is...well, a sample of not me. elder

Thanks everyone for the continued interest. This piece seems to be most popular, only its a VERY hard act to follow. This took a long time and has so many levels I probably couldn't sdo it again. But who knows. Orange, I get samples from wherever I find them. I clip out things that inspire me and they usually click with some piece I'm already working on. There are some notes on the production of this piece in my replys above. BTW there is an older piece of software used in this called Orange Vocoder! elder
