While archiving my songs online tonight (whew!), I came across this gem... I thought it had something to do with my other piece here at iComp called Late Night Dreamscape but it doesn't at all! What a cool thing to come across old music of mine that I don't remember at all AND LOVE IT SO MUCH! It took me totally by surprise. I hope it does that to you, too. smiley

Music by Carla J. Patterson in the middle of the night using all kinds of virtual instruments. NO LOOPS!

Cool track, Carla smiley
Very moody
Great production
Koto and snare drum? -- most inventive -- and emotionally effective
Experimental music? -- I'd say the experiment was a success~!

Miss Carla,
Wow some how or nother I missed this. HA!
Awesome, it is truly one of those mysteries, where these things come from or where we will find them. Is there, I know right?!?
smiley
Very Middle Ages, emotive harpsichord-ish drag glitchy. Psycho-fabulous. The sitar against the organ is working for me big time.
Then now I am feeling Japan, or Buddhist temples. The incense tentrils of smoke hanging; in the even air. Dubbish and clubby, trance even. The beat is the scraping metallic sounds for me. Very interesting, very interesting indeed.
One can certainly get lost in this hauntingly familar, reverie. Dreamscape from the mind of Carla. SUPREMELY and masterfully well done!!!

@A1K3M1 Thanks for all the words! They are very satisfying to read. Love the Psycho-fabulous thingie - we've got to get everyone to use that and get it into the Oxford English Dictionary! Seriously!

Dubbish and chubby, that's me! smiley

xox and sugar on top

Ms Carla you never cease to entertain and amaze. Now you need to do a voiceover on this giving us some insight to what images are invoked in your talented head when you hear this now. Very cool post, missy. B

@jbmusic Thanks so much B! I hadn't thought to put anything with this but I'll give it a try now that you suggest it. Why not, eh? smiley

@A1K3M1 Just realized I need to use another phrase of yours all the time, besides PschoFabulous, which I have made part of my everyday vocabulary now. The one I need to add is drag glitchy! Love that. smiley

I love when that happens too... it is like finding lost treasure... 'n this song is gold. Dig the choices in sound 'n the overall mood of the piece... the variation is coo' 'n the arrangement/progression is compelling. Favourite bit is in the middle section! 8)>
