I've been reading a bit of Ancient Ethical Theory (AET) lately. This is the second in a collection of tunes arising from these thoughts.

"Ancient moral theory tries to provide a reflective account of an essential human activity so one can grasp what is of fundamental importance in pursuing it." Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy

Happiness is discussed as a feeling and as an activity. Happiness is one part of what makes up the idea of virtue.

I really like this. When I was in high school back in the mid '70s I used to sit alone late at night in my bedroom listening to records I got from the library. This may sound strange, but this reminds me of the time I first heard Kraftwerk. smiley

Pieces of the rainbow coming down to great me!
I love that human touch with laughter...
The tune could even have had some more of that!
Chanting different (ethical?) words?
Soundscape is a bit into the industrial domain
with a touch of (laughing) witchcraft
from the darkest corner of the medicine mans hut...
Nice...
I'm happy!
PS. Great albumart!

happiness, well, i am all for it...this song? well i am for that too...love the clapping rhythm and the rattlesnake happiness that pans back and forth and the smokey laughter and what evolves from that, a creepy glee indeed, but a brilliant piece of composition...

I think happiness is a byproduct of doing something we enjoy. And I certainly enjoyed this soundscape. I really like the upbeat rhythms here, the panning of sounds, the insistent bell and that funky but solid bassline. I found the laugh quite sinister though?! (sorry!!) Excellent - feels like the piece should be longer smiley

This was very well-produced, considering. My favorite thing is how vivid and surreal you've made this song sound. I suddenly feel like I'm starving for adventure, considering this song was so positively provocative and uplifting.

sweet blast off!
the instrument at :22 is wonderful!
the little shudder at :44 in left ear sounded like an engine failing - nice touch
1:37 was a nice way to stop and go
i like the way the tribal goes techno in that section
piano got my eyebrows lifted...
2:37 - 2:58 was a swell passage!

lots of interesting voices/moods all held together by that quirky thing at :22 throughout and that great whacking percussion. this bent me out of shape in an edgy, decidedly delicious manner, and then bent me back again. thank you!
