Remembering Chris Whitley...who passed away six years ago, the 20 of November.
Dont expect anything close to the original version, the man and his talents are out of touch. It's just my tiny yearly tribute to his memory, and his unbelievable songs.

Played, sung, recorded and mixed today. No loops.

I'm sure that he would have approved. I like that hard edge on that one guitar you play. I remember his passing and you covering another of his songs.

Beautiful and evocative. Loved the guitars and the eerie harmonica.

Dyl, this is a superb cover man! The guitars and mix are just quite sweet my friend. You've paid well tribute and helped keep Chris's music alive brother.

Dyl...just had to add in one more piece after some digging...

I just checked out Chris's version and I have to say that I find your take on it to really jibe more with the melancholy lyric. I feel the music on his original doesn't quite capture the true angst of the words, and yours does man!

So again, REALLY good job here and I feel you've made an improvement on the original

Rain'll shine, sun will fall smiley. Now I have to make an underground cult film to put this on the soundtrack. Nice one.

I love the feel you create with the guitars of the constant motion of a kaotic world and then the solid vocals. Well done!
