Moments That Matter is an upbeat song with a serious theme. The moments we take for granted but for some people are not possible for so many reasons.

The song was suggested by my wife for a specific purpose.

@Vixen, @ihussain, @SISTERS, @eagle I am very pleased you like the lyrics. I find it so hard to write lyrics that are serious but I got very inspired on this one based on some particular things my wife brought home from her work.

I tried to make the lyrics layered so it matches most of us but it has a specific background that I cannot reveal at the moment.

@LaFayette also thanks to you. The special moment on that picture is my wife and at one of our many wine visits in France. We have been to both Bourgogne and Bordeaux. But in this case it is a small producer in the Loire Valley close to Tours.

These wine visits are very precious moments in the life of my wife and I. Moments we will always treasure and remember.

Pinging all that gave comments as I would think it would be interesting to know the real background for the song: @Vixen, @ihussain, @SISTERS, @eagle, @LaFayette, @neurologist, @jibes

When I originally posted this song, it had been written for a special purpose which I did not reveal in the description because the song was part of a marketing activity which was not announced at that time.

My wife Diane came home one night and said that her team needed a song for an internal marketing event and she suggested for fun that I could write a song. So I started right away. And it ended up being used at my wife's work.

The song is about patients with psoriasis. I wonder how many of you had guessed that. It is about people that do not dare shaking hands. People that cannot walk without pain. People that do not like to go out because their face is affected. I was very moved by some of the stories Diane told me she had heard from patients and this is what the song is about. I was especially touched by a quote from a patient that said she felt like her skin was a jail. Diane works for the Danish company Leo Pharma that develops and produces medicine that can help many of these patients.

The song in this version was used at an internal event and was very well received.

By pure coincidence both Leo Pharma and the company I work for has used the term "Moments" in their marketing material. So it was natural for me to also make a version for my own company. I have just uploaded this: http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=174034. The new version is the same music but transposed up to C as it suits my voice better. And the lyrics are changed.
