Thanks @Pcmx. It is all handmade. I hammered in the drums using my Akai LPD8 pads. I use a Native Instruments Battery kit for the synth drums and the Native Instruments Studio drummer kit for the real stuff. I prefer to record "live" and quantify as need after. You get more human solos than when you program. And more original than using patterns or loops. Nothing beats a real drum kit but I have no space for it. When I was a kid I had a kit and I guess I still remember how to cook up a beat smiley

I agree, this has a real Eastern feel to it, possibly Russian - I may now have to arrange Ra Ra Rasputin by Boney M! Love the drums and the melody in this one - very addictive!

I agree, Kenneth, nothing like real drums. It definitely helps when you've played on the real thing when programming the drums.
Couldn't sit still....

Nice one Ken, good tom sound on this...must concur with some of the other comments here, this is reminiscent of Boney M's Rasputin, or at least that's where it takes me.
Great stuff...

A great showcase for those big drums. It is sounding good through my speakers. I have tried playing in drums live from pads but I end up spending too much time tidying it all up afterwards.

I think you achieved your goal, splendidly. This is a great dance track, with a very strong percussion and bass foundation, yet very melodic throughout. And one fine listen! Thanks for sharing. smiley Peace, AG

Let's get one thing straight smiley-I hate dance music ( I worked as a bouncer for some time in the 90's nuff said) - so to me to describe this track as mere dance demenes it. I like this a lot and would consider it art that can be danced to smiley
