agree with ihussain about the song info itself. a brief, but pleasant read. the music is very 'earthy' and would make a great documentary soundtrack with the vids.

Iqbal - yes I spent a small fortune on buying the Native Instruments Komplete 8. I have still not tried half of what comes with it and even the stuff I tried I do not yet know how to tweak. There are millions of sounds waiting to be made. I must admit I mainly use presets and maybe tweak a knob or two. Otherwise I end up just programming a synth a whole day and do not get to play my keyboard. On this track the line up is simple. Only 9 tracks. Piano is NI Kontakt Berlin Grand The flute sounds are NI Reactor Carbon -a patch called Afluent with small tweak The other melody instrument that sounds like brass/accordion is NI Massive - patch called Brass Model The bell sound is NI FM8 - Dream Synth Strings are from - NI Kontakt Session Strings. I just use standard chords on a generic ensemble sample Bass is standard Logic Liverpool Bass The bell sound in the beginning of the track which also has some bass sound is a NI Reactor with a synth called Razor and a patch called Glass Bells with a small tweak And finally drums are NI Kontakt Abbey Road Modern Drums. So - that was all my secrets ;-)

It is always nice to hear how a piece of music is conceived in the first place and how it progresses into a full blown arrangement. You've put quite a bit of work into both areas here. Well done to achieve this with this delightfully tuneful piece. I use Komplete 8 as my main source of instrument sounds, perhaps tweaking a little here and there with the various synthesizers contained therein, but I like you am overwhelmed by the thousands of sound possibilities. Lovely piece,my friend and I'm also fascinated with birds,my fascination is mostly with the larger birds.This is a very nice piece and it does gives you a feel of birds in flight.

Kontakt has currently the best 3rd party Virtual instrument sample makers making for it. Although I usually dislike block chords with little movement I think they sit well within this track. The Melody is lovely and to me is what I strive for in all my pieces wether action or romantic. Lovely listen

Delightfully charming. Sweet, like a children's tune (which is, I suppose, what it is, given the inspiration source). I particularly loved the melody voices -- soaring and clear and uplifting. Plus, having that infrared camera peeking in on the little fellows is so freakin' cool.

i remember using those sounds and making them - but the grandiose method of mixing used here is something special - the grand awe includes subjects and paragraphs of this journey

Ah ****! You write something else I don't find often. FYI I did a community service project over two years with high school kids creating a bluebird trail through our town. Put up nest boxes all over and going to keep doing it till we hear news reports that blues are taking over the world. Nurturing life is a fine hobby. Watching it grow and thrive is a fine reward. It's good sometimes to be a teacher. Your hard work on the beginning of the track does not go unappreciated here. T

Kenneth, you always make refreshing tunes with uplifting themes. Good tune for the boids. :) Glad to find another NI user. I recently sprung for "the Mouth" but only find it of limited value with very little support, like if they don't talk about it maybe it will go away. But I do like most all of their other things.
