A Latin flavored composition in need of some legs.

I'm not well versed in mixing, so if any of you want to re-do this, I'd love to hear what you can do...

Probably needs a transition in the middle, maybe some modulation or something...

I think you have written a very nice song. Both music and lyrics.

And you sing it so gently and with such nice timing, tonation, and diction.

I really liked this,,,, the lyrics are universal male or female, and your style is slick as silk sheets,,,,, wow just don't know what I would add or take away,,,,,, probably nothing.
it is a slick of life that come in says what it says and exits,,,, a great slice of life.
I wanna hear more form you,,,,, JON

This HAS legs...such a gentle hypnotic groove, it has a happy sad vibe to it that lingers. Great scat and vocal, frankly this is great as it is, including the mix ...more please!

Very tasty, Mary. Sounds great and absolutely perfect music for your voice. Not sure this needs anything because your voice sounds so good!

I love it Mary, feels like on a brazilian beach watching young people dancing. Very warm and sexy jazzy vibe. Just a little suggestion : I think the little acoustic guitar you added in the beginning is a bit out of tune, maybe you could fixe some notes in this part. Really enjoyed.

The mix seems fine to me also, and the latin percussion is great. I always loved those drums. Nothing beats hearing them live. I've heard Stan Kenton a few times and some of the other bands and when they start a latin song, Oh boy! I always waited for Desi's band to play on the TV show. ( I'm so old I remember when they were on once a week.)

I'm back again. While I was listening a second time it brought back some more memories. In the late fifties or early sixties there was an album out called Latin a la Lee and featured Peggy Lee singing and they used a backing style just about what you used on this. A nice rhythm and the voice is prominent. Great for you because you get to do some scat singing too.

Yes,just fine, *** it is.
Excellent performance, recording, production and mixing skills demonstrated here.
It's full of life and vitality in addition to well balanced and clean sound.
One little detail. That delicate flute line in the background was brilliant.
bravo

Like the scat singin kind of Ella Fitsgerald - esk. A perfect background in the latin - flamenco guitar and much more.
Nice swinging back and forth with the chorusy - guitar chords.

Way to go !

Love the lyrics, the retro feeling of it, the yearning, the intense love of your subject really seems to come through. Wow!
