Procession. I imagine some warm country where a small town is having a yearly celebration with a beautiful procession with drums and dancing people. And with lots of colours.

It is a bit of mix of styles. Indian percussion mixed with heavy metallic drums. Synth sounds, and piano plays joyful melodies that perhaps sound more medieval European. And a slow pace which appears fast because the rhythm swings.

Enjoy

I like it a lot. Has such a happy feel to it and excellently produced. Great way to start a day. Does have that Walter/Wendy Carlos baroque sounding bit in there that reminded me of "Switched on Bach". Brilliant!

I love the gentle drum beat that starts off proceedings, with that attractive Mike Oldfield-style melody on top (his Dulci Jubilo days) - i agree with @Dadanaut. And then the big fat drum that kicks in with the stuttering drum. A lovely driving happy feel to this.

Wonderful wakeup song for a Sunday morning! Got my feet tapping - you're right, despite the slow tempo the rhythm is almost jig-like. Great work!

I Like the bouncy rhythm, with a little Scottish folk in the tune.
Excellent job.

Oh what a nice melody, I will hear it all day! Yes the complex rhythm does keep a fast pace underneath a more relaxed melody. The choice of lead instruments is first class - they flow well from one to the next and compliment other instruments in the background. Sweet ending with just the rhythm instruments - and then the little touch of panning flight. Delightful!

Definitely a blend of styles -- but like a dish mixed by a master chef who's gone beyond the need to use any recipe. An enchanting and uplifting tune that most definitely makes me want to join in this parade.

Has an almost Celtic flavor. Truly enjoyable and as mentioned so light and uplifting. The percussion is very tribal and whimsical. Love your compositions - always complete and truly interesting and enjoyable. All the elements are just so perfect to my ear.

Kenneth ... can't be an Indian procession. Indian drums are different...a tabla is more like it. Also Indian trumpets are needed.

I would place this process, which is very nice, in some Eastern European country...but do I know...never been to Europe proper!

Still this is delightful music that I thoroughly am enjoying.

Great job...I like the melody!

Perhaps Kenneth meant Indian as in Native American? smiley

I don't think you could do a none entertaining song were I don't feel rewarded upon hearing and not savoring the song. And I always seem to get hooked. Love the melodies in your songs and the drama you obtain as you do your melodic magic. The cool percussion and the INFECTIOUS melodies YOU ARE SO GOOD.

I always seem to leave your instrumentals with a joyous feeling. It is amazing when music can do this. Way to go, cool ending too!!!!

Thanks all for the overwhelming reception of this song. I never would have thought it have done so well. I was not satisfied with it until I got the idea to add the extra drumming. That took two weeks from I had done the first part till I finally added the drums.

And yes, the initial inspiration was some of those old B-sides from early Mike Oldfield. I love the mix of folk and rock he stands for.

very nice - feel like it has elements of something mike oldfield might do but also puts me in mind of some of the melodies that the bbc radiophonic workshop used to make

very cool

I came here on your suggestion for ideas for a drum track on one of my tunes...I may incorporate some of these elements, but I want to be careful not to lose the glitch subtlety either
