Dark down beat thing
First tune using Logic Pro X
A little bit frustrating, but I'm sure the "Bugs" will be ironed out in a few more updates smiley

Very nice punchy beat. Good sound.

Yeah, I also just finished my first Logic X project. There are some bugs. Some fixed in the 10.0.1 update. The one that annoys me the most at the moment is that the standard pointer tool will not change to note length resize mode when the notes are short. Then you have to change to the finger tool. And the you can only change length and need to change tool again to move the note. Grr. But overall the X is very nice. It sounds good. And when they come with 10.0.1 only a few weeks after release of 10.0.0 the there is hope for more fixes in a not so distant 10.0.2 with more bugs being smashed like the one on your image. Cool picture.

Yeah, the tool thing really annoyed me - but also . . . controller 1 (modulation) randomly being reset when looping regions. Annoying.
Exporting all tracks as audio doesn't work properly on "Track Stacks" - including the custom Ultrabeat Drum Machine patches. You have to re-route everything just to get a kick drum on a single track - the kick, for some reason is assigned to the main outputs. So while all other tracks will render as individual audio files, the kick resides on the main output which contains the whole drum kit - Grrrr.
Also . . . track automation Arrrrrrgh (cough fart) Logic X keeps enabling track automation for every single track regardless of whether you have automation on that track or not.
The old trick of exporting AUX sends as audio by creating tracks for them in the arrange window and putting a blank region at the beginning of each AUX doesn't work - throws up an error -43 (file not found) . . . .
Otherwise, I quite like Logic X smiley

Visual Impression of the Composition:
Leather moccasins hanging on electrical wires. Prehistoric bugs come crawling out of a tuna can. I tip toe onto an old board lying on the ground... Ewee! Suddenly I heard a sound of breaking glass. I walk towards an abandon gas station and I noticed on the side of the dwelling was a swinging door that leads into a rest room. I carefully, tip-toeing up to the door, peek my head in. From the looks of a liquid substance hovering on the shattered tile floor was a puddle of oil. I came a little closer for verification and noticed a trail of this dark, think substance leading to the rickety stall. Though the restroom was dark, something metallic sparkled from underneath as my body slightly moved to the side allowing some light to come in. There lied a reflection of death. A rotted corpse lying beside the porcelain throne. Adjacent to the rotted flesh was a rusted straight blade. Written behind the throne read, "Bugs are the Devil's Pets".

Foundation: Deep symbolic bass tone in Sync with the electro-accentual stigmatic percussion clicks; nicely done!

FX:Love the minuscule Chainsaw injection! Vibrate like a electrify spinning-top. The bending of frequencies clearly depict one stepping on a bug that snaps (e.g., cockroach)

Song Structure: Tightly woven melodic interface. I can clearly hear the Intro->Verse->Bridge->Verse-Minor Chorus->Verse->Outro

Instrumentation: Sweet combination of the Electronic drums/percussion, symphonic strings, Classic Bass guitar tone. All components are in-sync well!

Production:All your pots/pans/plugs, EQ and the Goddamn Kitchen is Impressive! smiley

My Best,
~Doc

The tempo is so infectious - ponderous but urgent - and the sounds are perfectly positioned in the mix. Oh, and killer kick. Superb.

Brilliant sound design on this. really getting the "insect" vibe- one gets the sensation of wasp-like creatures whizzing by your ears. The glitchy breakdown section in the middle is especially effective. A slightly menacing but hypnotic lullaby for workers, drones and the queen.
