Melancholic tune. A man looking back thinking about the woman he loved so much. The woman that walked away one day.

A slow pace piece with strong focus on the melody. Mainly in E-minor but modulates to other keys. Melody instruments are sitar guitar and jazz guitar. And the huge orchestra with strings, woodwinds, horns, piano, and a few synth arpeggios to give a strong rhythmic feel.

One day maybe someone will write lyrics. Maybe some crooner voice will sing the song. But I think the story is told very clearly without words. The power of music. And love, the inspiration that will always be.

A beautiful piece, with some very unusual chords here and there, giving the piece a highly effective disconcerting feel. I love the sitar guitar lead instrument - it has a sad quality all of its own. The title and theme is something I could easily imagine using as inspiration myself. It would, of course, be wonderful to hear this as a vocal with lyrics, but it plays beautifully as it stands.

Excellent composition Kenneth. I specially love the chords you have chosen and the way the melody flies effortlessly upon them. Wonderful arrangements too. Surely one of your best. Congrats my friend.

Very nice Kenneth. You're getting better with your melodies...now this is more romantic than the others I heard from you.

I didn't care for the melody instrument you chose for the first part (not sure what it is), but I think if you used a lonely trumpet it would've given more impact.

Like you said, very good melody!

If I wasn't so busy I would write the lyric.

Love the chord structure and flow. Lyrics would be an interesting challenge and of course I kind of line up with earlier comments on the trumpet (slightly bias from my pov). Overall a wonderful piece.

I love how this "ducks and dives" with the chords, and the exotic-sounding lead instrument played staccato over a tumbling flow of a music bed. Inventive.

Love the sitar lead instrument. Beautifully introspective and sombre mood you are invoking here. Sombre yes, but has a spark/light shining through. Spark of hope and joy in remembering what once was. It's a beauty.

Thanks for sharing with us, outstanding.

That sitar is very catching. I'm racking my brain trying to remember a song from the 70's with that certain timbre. Great song, everything flows really well. Kinda made me a little melancholy listening.

Beautiful music inspired by a sad but unfortunately frequent story, for some reason it reminds me the classic French movie "An homme et une femme" - I was a kid when I saw it, but your song took me back right there!

I'm liking what I hear hear. And I like the sounds you choice for this song. I like the lead instrument choice. Nice. The strings & melody are nice additions too. I admire the chord changes and the bridge or chorus part just about 1/2 way through is nice. Nice melody going on. Another very cool number. Love this.

Very nice composition. Excellent as instrumental.
I think the bright eirie character of the sitar guitar and guitar gave in the melody was very much to my liking. and gives the music a wonderful character. While I notice other commenters could prefer a voice that is more obvious melancoly messanger in a traditional sense, I think it is great that you did what you did. The story may not be that obvious, and that is fine. I think the melody is also well played. The arpeggio could perhaps me more organic and breathing, It does provede a forward momentum and flow which is good. I loved the retardando at the end.

Kenneth, this has a strange upbeat with a sad story to tell,,, the main instrument string soft guitar? pics at my heartstrings, and the reverb is just right for this ballad composition! I think this has to be one of my favorite pieces you have composed and performed!
Musically masterful and the overlap of voices tells the story so deeply! Loved it JON Have to admit to a bit of walking into the "Western Sunset" here!
