jazz world fusion. i played cort acoustic and fretless bass guitars and iPad sax as live audio files into logic pro x. the flute and gongs were generated using the midi conversions of the sax parts. the drums were set up and generated using a drummer track following the bass. mixed and mastered in logic pro x.

I really like this music. Crisp sounds. Cool with the bells or gongs played fast. The flute tops it up so well. Great work

fantastic - the spacing - the mix - the choices - i've always liked andreas vollenweider a lot and this just tops it - so unexpected = percussion entrance but works great and enhances -
a relatively lengthy thing and all within being of inimitable nuance -

Some creative electrical manipulations going on. It's world fusion. Sounds great and crystal clear too. I have to agree with Scott above. I like how you mixed the acoustic guitar. Textural feast as well. It has modern jazz as well as the kitchen sink! Very creative and I'm not sure what will hit me next!

A veritable feast for the ears, I love the way you've re-assigned stuff to different voices, it's ethereal beginnings give way nicely to the rhythmic section with some great choices of instrumentation that paint an in depth picture that works on many levels...Great drum track. I really like the gamalan (ish) sounds, they add yet another flavour...truly world music.

Ps. Just got Logic X and I'm at the hair pulling stage just looking for where stuff is...this is pretty inspirational music to urge me to persevere...thanks!

@KennethLavrsen @Axelbreeze @ScottHorwath thanks for your kind comments

@revoltington how about a 35-year-old recording of me and my mates playing an irish folk tune, together with a transglobal underground style remix. i kid you not!

@ffej55 that's a very kind thing to say and i'm flattered that you find it inspirational. i must admit I haven,t gone much deeper into pro x than using the presets. but there are lots of permutations around those. the bells on this for example are just one of the preset arpeggIator synth pre-sets. the trouble with presets being that pretty soon you get to recognise them in other people's work. btw if you haven't found it yet the way to convert from audio to midi is to turn on the flex pitch feature and in the editor window there is a tab "create midi track from pitch data". most useful tool.

I'm impressed again by your imagination and also by your ability to play with all these new sofisticated devices, reaching new frontiers every time, while I keep using the same 6 strings over and over...

@gepo i wish i had a tenth of your ability with the 6 strings. i use the technology to make up for my inadequacies as a musician, perhaps not without a certain amount of imagination. but always remember that the essence of it al is a man with a 6 string.

One of the coolest things as an ad don to the wonderful music is guessing which instruments you're using at certain points! smiley
