Devotchka (from Denver CO) is one of the most impressive (active) bands i know... This is a version of one of their songs, originally a waltz...turned into a bossa-nova but i can't explain how and why ! Enjoy !

Little_Hooligan Listener My 1st time hearing of the band/song.. I am a fan of the Bossa style.. I liked the flow of this.. a beautiful piece and your vox was filled with longing. Was that a harmonica on the outro? Unexpected but it worked nicely.. smiley

Gorgeous, Dyl.
I completely agree with Joyce, the vocal IS filled with longing.
Lots of space in the recording to swim around in.
Really enjoyed it.
A little Wilco/Jeff Tweedy vibe.
Tres cool.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dyl!

Those rich rusty low tones and your easy reach to the upper register take the listener on holiday.

Passion, talent and creative risk make you a super star in my mind!

So nicely done!

Well your mutation is masterful ... you have extended the last beat of the 2nd bar

Your work continues to astound and deeply satisfy, Dylan. It is top shelf world class junk

I love it!! The classical guitar sounds FANTASTIC on this, sort of like "And I Love Her" by the Beatles. The whole band sound is very seductive, and the low key vocal adds to that mood. Great!

I enjoy the song from the heart, this seems like you are seeing from experience and telling a story with the melodies both in lyrics and music !

Thanks !

La qualité est là et la musicalité aussi.

Très belle composition, Éric.

Oh that's clever, to turn a waltz into a 4/4 beat song! I like that. Lovely bossa touches here, giving the piece that Latin exoticism that always appeals. Great song and well-sung, as always. Actually quite hard to sing, as a lot of the melody is quite bass line.
