A hymn originally arranged for string quartet & mezzo. The melody is played by an oboe and is not altered with, the variations are in the strings.

This is a revised version. The 1.0 version can be found here, which by the way is a link you can totally ignore (unless you want to read the ratings/comments, which is the only reason I keep it).

Nice slow build-up. I like your use of octaves in the strings. It has a very mournful quality. What does Psalm 210 refer to?

Ya, I know now that you really love music, this is why your covers are so good. You feel the emotion behind the varnish. Keep scratching to reveale your soul. Thank you for this one. Didier.

Thanks!
"Psalm" is Swedish for Hymn or Chorale. 210 stands for the number of the Hymn/Chorale. In other words this is hymn no 210 in the Swedish Book of Chorales.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for those unfamiliar with religious history...

Psalm: (noun)

1. a sacred song or hymn, in particular any of those contained in the biblical Book of Psalms and used in Christian and Jewish worship.

2. (the Psalms or the Book of Psalms) a book of the Bible comprising a collection of religious verses, sung or recited in both Jewish and Christian worship. Many are traditionally ascribed to King David.

...and by the way, nicely done.

yep, you keep it nice and sublime -- everyone can have a nice religious time. a beautiful arrangement -- a concerto for oboe and strings. I bet the original mezzo soloist was just lovely, huh? Nice piece. ~Justin
