"Belador" - Duple-time-rising-piano-Extended Classical Melody, beginning in F# minor second inversion

- Recent performance - Original Song .

( Amplitude is quite Low . . . some of the high points were close to clipping etc.)

wow - yes thank you for your 'thyme' ~ what i did on my software is raise one band in the mids. 2 db. on the simple 8-band choice of the cool edit pro software - - and purposely disabled the reverb to obtain the piano's given 192-note-max polyphony - and this was all - simply because this piano has its own natural string resonance and natural auto-pan - which is very nice at default value when the damper is down - and this is enough - at least with the legato songs - to NOT want any more effects like reverb - well i used a yamaha p-115 - and they cost = not that much - that is when compared to their quality - i used the soft piano setting - simulating soft pedal down - parameters are quite simple on this axe - i have most used every electronic piano in the book @ some point in time - even the Nord's - and i like this one better - the "P" yamaha electronic piano line has come a long way (exponentially better lately) - the action is simply phenomenal - i have two grand pianos at which i work on - and i tune - and i like this better - although one has been compared to firewood . . . the folks assigned in this electronic yamaha department HAVE to be pianists - i have Kurzweil - Ensoniq (yes this is the spelling ) (No longer) ((but they built a battleship sequencer/song-writer board ! ))in the zr-76 and roland too - which of course have far more parameters

hi ! ~ - and importantly - yes - in the audio file - i like to see a very wide dynamic range in my songs - ' just my taste - which would equate to velocity attack MIDI values of from 25 to about 110 (out of 127) - this is intentionally wide - because i think it keeps the interest - and - in itself - creates a lot of VCF Timbre variety as well - so i choose the softest attack value for this style of composition . . . so yes - this would mean that one has to keep levels quite low to allow for the harder key stroke attack points

- and a Happy February to all . . .

Actually, cranking it up distorted the higher register piano. It's a lovely composition. Just needs some engineering balance in the final mix. Thanks - Phil
