When I was chosen to be Owen Sound's Poet Laureate along with my poetry partner Rob Rolfe, I started to write in a more spoken word style. Sometimes like in this piece using traditional chord structures underneath and sometimes no music.
This song actually has both... speaking verses and singing the chorus. It is about the life and area that I grew up in. Enjoy and share.
