I caught this clam trawler's daily run in the harbor on video. It seemed logical for my music based on Greek philosopher Zeno's Dichotomy Paradox. Simply put, Achilles could never win a race with a tortoise given infinite time. From this we got the Aesop's Fable "The Tortoise and the Hare". He used this logic to demonstrate that "you can't get there from here". Anyone who has ever stopped a local for directions knows they will always get a lesson in the Dichotomy Paradox.

cello applied and performed well here ~ round and around in a different way - symphonic weaving - and with the female chorus around a theme - very subtle ! - incuding dynamic variety . . .

The vocals add such a dramatic flair to the music. It is a somewhat repetitious paradoxical piece that I may not have noticed if the video had not been present. Sometimes the ears have it and the eyes add extra stuff to over ride the quality of the work.
