So, it has happened. On 31st August this year I worked my last day before being made redundant from my job as a designer/artworker... Nearly 3 months on and I am still out of work and money is running out quickly. I was really hoping not to have to write this song, that I would have my life sorted out by now and be back in work, but sadly that is not the case...

I have been trying to write, but have suffered a block, so I hope that writing the track I didn't want to write will clear my head and let me move back to writing other material. I took some inspiration from artists like Billy Bragg and Frank Turner on this one, so I hope you enjoy it!

Oh boy Ian, yeah, this is tough news to hear! It's rough out there for sure! I went through a redundancy myself but got called back (thankfully). You're creative, talented and resourceful. I know it sounds like lip service ... it'll all be ok. Might take some time, but it'll all be ok!

Best wishes for a new beginning!

Billy Bragg and Ian in the same package, i'm in instantly. Great song. And yes, times are hard. This year's been an economic nightmare here too. You're asking the good questions.
