The atmospherics here are brilliant. All the parts fit together perfectly. It has a real feel to it that is relaxing as hell...like a warm, misty spray from a tropical waterfall (at least, that's what I get). The quiet brushed drums don't demand attention, but their contribution is as powerful as any other individual part...almost subliminal...and create the foundation for everything else. The guitar is smooth in its sharpness (if that makes any sense). It's difficult to pin down the other parts as they mesh so well together to form the piece in its entirety -- not an easy feat. It's restrained and quiet and quite beautiful in its restraint and quietness. In my mind, it made me think of a tropical waterfall at dusk with maybe a fire nearby. Very, very smooth and relaxing. If I may offer one suggestion, the bass could stand to be a tad bassier. It's perhaps a bit thin and treble-y. The part itself works well and fits into the piece perfectly; it's just a matter of EQing that one instrument. But that's just a minor and purely subjective observation. I thoroughly enjoy this one. Well done, and thank you!

ldecarmine Artist Thank you for your thoughtful listen.....I was torn between the bass sound,I created two bass tracks, one with a sub bass, one with more high end content,...I coundn't make up my mind on the level of each tracks I flipped a coin......

I thank you for your feedback..very much.

I'd use both of the bass sounds that you created - just balance the levels to suit. The autopanned synth sound at the beginning is hard panned a bit too much for my taste - can be too distracting when using headphones.
That said, I love the laid back groove and the brushed drums are lush together with all the little percussive elements that keep the momentum going. Very nice use of other instrumentation and tastefully placed in the mix.

ldecarmine Artist Thank you for your thoughtful listen.... I did use both bass tracks, and balanced to suit, with each new song/ mix I try a new device, plugin or technique, I used the waves Bauer image plugin, using a more aggressive tremolo/panning on the Rhodes at the intro,...but I must admit, I don't mix on headphone....but I will now check my mixs on them,

I thank you for your feedback..very much.

Yeah, this is really nice. I like that bass and the kick combo. The piece has a silky smooth sound and laid back pace. I enjoyed your project.
