Words and music were written in 2011. Then my old Mac crashed and burned.

When I was up and running again---approximately six years later---it was the first song I recorded.

It has been newly remixed and remastered for this posting. (Drums are Dod & Apple Loops.)

A folk-rocking look at the environmental crisis.

Taluyaq Artist Good message, Calchas! I like how the words are not redundant, and the music flows and is upbeat and seems carefree, as though things are happy-go-lucky... but still tragic and scary (especially the chorus) as it almost gives you the impression that doom is inevitable! ... tick-tock! smiley

This was a fun tune, my man... I liked it a lot! Kind of a Pogues-ish feel in spots (maybe less drunk hahaha) Excellent work! Keep it coming, basic rock!

You mean you don't think Trump's gonna take care of all that? smiley

Uggg...don't get me started.

This is contemporary folk/protest maybe? I give ya props on the lyrics especially cus they're often so hard to do.

Well done!

Thanks for the kind words friends.

TM mentioned the Pogues. CLOSE! But the actual musical inspiration was OYSTERBAND.

BTW, this is the most difficult for me to sing of all my tunes because there are so many words and they go by so rapidly. VERY hard to be "pitch perfect" in every line!

Particularly, I like the accordion and percussion on this track. Gives the tune a festive quality, though I don't think the lyrics reflect that mood. I guess it could go either way, much the same as everything else mentioned in the lyrics.

Fine protest music. Nicely done. For some reason I can hear Warren Zevon doing this song in the latter part of his career!

HAPPY DOWNFALL...good music, good lyrics but how do they match? A touching song that leaves a black hole.
