"Don't Play Your Rock 'n' Roll to Me" is a song by British rock band Smokie. It was released in early September 1975 as a single and appeared later on the album "Changing All the Time". The song was composed by Nicky Chinn / Mike Chapman.
The song was adapted into French and in 1976 released (under the title "Joue pas de rock'n'roll pour moi") by French singer Johnny Hallyday (RIP).

We did 2 versions with Mary. The first is very close to the original, particularly because I used the same original & famous guitar rhythms. The second is this one, different in rhythm. In both cases we didn’t modify the structure of the song, chords and lyrics, due to respect to the authors.

We hope you like !

Hats off to Grathy who is really a chameleon, able to sing successfully in many different styles smiley
Thank you Mary - you didn’t know the song before … -.

Have a nice day, you all

You two never disappoint. Got me doing the 'turkey neck' thing. Hard not to move around while listening. Digging on the reggae spices simmering here. Excellent collaboration, thanks for sharing with us.
