A close friend is dealing with her husband's late stage dementia and having a rough time. I wrote this thinking that somethings should be said to those who care about us before it becomes too late.
Two guitars and bass. I tried some Eagle-ish ooo harmonies. That's something I haven't done much of.

Buff as are pearls ~ "Ooohs" are so often too raspy - not here - i could hear this over again, again.

Nailed the concept, Larry. Rough topic to cover; but you captured the reality in song. Very mellow, well thought out. Thanks - Phil

What a great song - melody, lyric, and your raspy voice! Full package! Earwormmy! Love this!

Thanks Stan...The Canadian winter and months of breathing forced air heat puts the raspy in the raspy voice.

I like everything about this song - the vocals, the guitar and the
message, although it's a sad tale. I can relate to the subject matter as my Mom had dementia before she passed away few years ago.
Your lyrics are so meaningful. Cheers, Ken

EmmaPeel Artist really great stuff! thank you for sharing this tune. i am amazed that i find what people refer to as raspy male voices the ones that are most intriguing to me with songs overall. very nice to have found you!

Thanks Emma...I've grown up with Dylan, Waits, Young and Cohen and I find their vocal rough edges as part of the expression to be unique. We all just use what we got. I'm trying to think of some female counterparts to those I've mentioned. I suppose Janis Joplin and of course many female blues singers.
