I wrote this song just before my girlfriend broke up with me (a long long time ago)... you can say the writing was on the wall. This song came all at once in a single afternoon, though it took another three years before I recorded it.

An early recording of mine with my friend Mike Coykendall taking over the vocal spot. I think this is the only Rock/Pop ballad to have the word Barometer in the lyrics.

Anyways, I Just had to show ya all that I do have a soft mushy side.

I really like this song, it reminds me of both Simon and Garfunkal and the Kinks, kind of a mix. The vocals especially, are great.

the thunder is perfect, i like the chord progressions on this one, standard, yet not used that much. The guitar has a very clean tone which is nice. I'd give you more stars, but fives the limit...not too mushy though...lol

Reminds of the beginnings of the BeatMusic in the middle sixties. Love it. Nice composition and lovely chord progression. Things are running through here so fast that I almost missed this one.

Wow. That's a great song. And thus the native hue of chicks make the song-writing world go around. smiley
Great song writing. it's a real shame it took a breakup to get you there, but it seems like the nature of the bargain; the worse the heartbreak, the more exquisite the song. I myself have not had a breakup that is worthy of such a great song.

So late comment...but i heard this song on your mugshot special podcast and i really loved it. Reminds me of some Flamin Groovies stuff. Wich is good, very good. Nice vocals and guitar sounds, beautiful song. A classic for me now !

When I started up the WindowPanes, the old bass player for the Flaming Groovies answered my ad but quickly bailed out when he found out we were all younger than him. Even funnier was the fact that the two different bass players who held down the slot were both in his same age range. That's my story and I'm sticking by it!
