Well, this collaboration started as some bass and drums sent by longshot to anDroid, to which some guitars were added, and a kind of jam was created and uploaded as "way down tucson way". Now Dylan has been good enough to add his two cents with some wonderful vocals and harmonica. Check out the lyrics he created. I think they're spot on for the feel of the piece. Anyway, this collaboration/experimentation is a funny way to build a song, but it's darn good fun, whatever the result. Thanks, longshot and Dylan!

I love the saguaro.

dreamy desert feel- nice work. I'd love to see you guys do this live. nice harp work Dylan. it has a kind of a local band feel. My only criticism is that the vocals are not as clear as I'd like.

I'll be in Tucson in March- I love it there.

I can't honestly rate this (i rated five stars the original jam post). But i have to say that writing lyrics and singing on this perfect jam was actually like flying over canyons. Android & longshot are very very talented guys. Thanks from France...Beaucoup !!!

Special thanks to anDroidfrisBee for the "Tucson" pronounciation lesson and the changing title. I appreciate...

I liked the whole band grooving along in this down mode feel and all the actual singing and playing. This sounds like a band in a room (which I dig), except for ... well ... comments below ... I liked the lyrics too.

Production I did not like. Mix is okay, but .... hmmmm. I think the drums & bass have too much reverb + reverb. The vox might have just a bit too much reverb too. As a result it doesn't sound like a band in a room so much as saturations of reverb out of boxes. I do think there is a place for using too much reverb; but probably not everywhere?

Thanks everyone for commenting. Pharmakeus: I totally agree, but the thing was, I got these drums and bass in one track from longshot and in the beginning it was pretty much completely an exercise in reverb -trying to get enough reverb into my guitar parts to make it match up with his drumming and bassing track which was unbelievably reverb-y, mainly I think because these really were live drums recorded in a room. That kind of reverb is legit, right? Anyway, I may have gone too far, I'll go over it again and see if I can reduce reverb on anything. I think Dylan's vocals are actually set on zero reverb, but. Hmm, is there any way to reduce reverb besides the reverb slider (which is on zero) by the way? Like with compression or something? Anyway, I'll look into it..

The picture fits this perfectly, feels like a desert sunset to me. Love the languid (meaning lazy & peaceful) unwinding, end of a hard day feel to this. Hope that makes sense. Great collaboration gentlemen. Thanks for sharing with us. Masterful original composition, vision, performances & production.
