It's wonderful to be a parent, and sometimes terrifying.

Thanks Dylan for your friendship and for inspiring me to write this. You are a gifted person.

Ed, you always surprise with your versatility. On the acoustic front alone, you've gone from Leo Kottke to John Prine. Dylan, Ed, you guys go very well together.

But since it's probably boring for you to get all these accolades, I'll toss off a hopefully constructive crit: in the last passage where you sing together, your two voices almost compete a bit, so it might be good to put one in backup mode, fading in only for significant key phrases that synch-up exactly (or those that can be made to do so with a little editing).

That said, the criticism is just my effort to be constructive to two guys who are both very talented. It's a fine song, crafted and produced very well.

So many superb collabs going on lately. This conjures up so many images in my head. The guitar is great in so many ways. The vocals are fantastic. The lyrics are killing me (ugh, the terror!!!). The harmonies were perfect. Imagine how great the commercial music scene would be if collaborations happened like this. Instant fav and very podalicious!

May i just add to these kind comments that Ed is one singular songwriter...and these lyrics are the most precise and universal and powerful you could ever find ? Plus, he's now teaching guitar on Icomp...What more could you ask for ?

Ed and Dylan thank you for this awesome song. Sometimes as a parent you need the words of others to remind you of what you "SHOULD" be doing for your kids.
Take care.

Great song!
Agree with Bob6stringer about the last bit...
But this tune is really nice with a wonderful contrast between your voices...
and the ever so warm sound of Ed's guitar, do you heat it up before play? ha ha...
