Another "classical" piece (I've never been very fond of categorizing music). This is an experiment. I wanted to find out what a symphony orchestra sounds like in the upper registers. Except for the unpitched percussion instruments, no instrument gets below C1.

Fluctuations is part of a 4 movement piece which is inspired by the four elements, earth, water, fire and wind. That is one element per movement. And Fluctuations is...

Basta. Vad skulle annars motsatsen till "riktig" vara? Men tack igen för dina reflektioner! De är possitiva att höra!

THANK YOU BOTH FOR COMMENTS!

An intricate piece of high art that shows a painstaking attention to detail.

You captured tension, dissonance and release in a masterful way. I really like this composition.

A creative concept. C1,eh? Adept orchestration here, expecially with the woodwinds. To my ear, this sounds more closely related to Stockhausen than Stravinsky. Very cool colour and sonorities. Sonically, this sounds excellent!

INCREDIBLE. What timbral color, what depth. Indeed, what a dynamic piece here!! I love these detailed dynamics...The spirits of modern orchestral giants like Penderecki, Ligeti, Kalevi Aho, Per Norgaard, timbralist Erik Bergman of Finland. The spirit of the NORDIC countries is here! I saw a few comments that mentioned Stockhausen, but I just don't agree...this music feels more refined in a way, more cohesive.

The percussions are powerful and primitive. A term coined by Leif Segerstam: "a kaleidoscopic flexator." You have instantly jumped to my favorite artist list. This is direct musical expression, using the most modern sound palettes/techniques so adeptly. Maybe you could talk about your techniques a little -- do you employ much aleatory in this score, graphic notations?? It sounds like a very dynamically detailed score -- I'd love to get a look at it.

So glad to have found work like this in ranks of icomps. I hope one day to be able to command orchestral ensembles with half this much skill? If I had to take a guess, I'd say this is the FIRE movement? Feels like primitive crackles (percussions) sparking into grand patterns of shimmering light (winds/strings). Even if I'm wrong, this is a wonderful elemental tone poem -- for the elements are always intertwined. Are the other three other pieces here on icomps? I'd love to listen to this elemental symphony. I'm a fan.

Bravo Mr. Bajen!

i am not a very clasical based person but i have just been linked to this song via cheins i have to say i can see were she is coming from what she is saying about this peice. in my mind it sounds like it is suited to a film score or sound track it has a very and please dont take this the wrong way freaky moment of making your min wander around looking for things coming out of walls ie ghosts and such like ...

ummmmmm, a very angry water? It's a little too solid to be wind, and a little too glissando and transient to be earth. Out in the middle of a raging ocean storm, being attacked and pecked by vicious, black sea birds, screeching and swooping. Always dizzy, always changing place as the world sashays around you, sometimes under, sometimes barely hanging on, dying tragically in the end
