I dragged out my old guitar for this one. Stepping away from my traditional jazz songs for a little folk. It tells the story of a life lived and nearing its end.

Thank you, Euphoria and Claus. It wasn't the mic's fault. The truth is, I couldn't figure out how to mic my guitar properly and had to turn up the volume on the guitar track (as well as dupe it several times) to get the right sound. That let in the fuzz. I figured it was better to have fuzz than no guitar sound. I'll work on that in the future.

I actually thought the fuzz/noise was there on purpose, to give it a thready old memory quality. This might be one of those "happy accident" moments; the noise kind of fits this song I think. Maybe one could go back, re-record the guitar and add a different style of noise track to it to nail the feeling down, but otherwise I think it works.

Good song; good lyrics. Thanks for sharing!

tremendous tune, lyrics stopped me in my tracks, and your vocals are so full that even subdued in this format, they absolutely pierce to the soul. Bravo!

Peace,

really nice tune. try keeping the mic closer to the soundhole of the guitar (maybe 6-10" smiley so the gain level is reading better on the input.
