Very trippy indeed. That vocal sounds familiar but is well disguised. Guitar was fitting to the title.

Frozen, thank you. smiley

I was dying to put in the lyric .. concept

"I told her not to go.
She should never have caught that flight.
Don't go to bed angry.
Will I ever see her again?"

Those were placed on top of
"Feel my love.
Taste my love.
Smell my love.
Take my love.
Be my love."

And "Taken, taken " repeating.

My first prog rock song .. and again, I thank Frozen for his art. smiley

...and thanx to you dd for building a concept with some slightly twisted yet elegant lyrics and for your work on this song. http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=52217(Islands). you were the sole inspiration for this. Could never have been what is was without ya. Thanx for the collab!

Frankly I had no clue on this one. I did suspect FE on this one-- but had no clue that ddball was in on this one. Shame on me. DDB and FE-- excellent job! I love this one a lot!

Like the dampen'd chording ala the Edge(?) or, yes, *I Advance Masked* and the whole idea of swirling behind that with the choral thing -- ok. strings? -- and DDB's vox are supplying some pain melding in there. Sweet solo.

Thanks Chris. Brings to mind that comparison of the life of politics and academics. For politics, it is dog eat dog. For academics, it is the other way around.

No shame Julian. I'm still stunned at being part of this. I am not ambitious with my music, being compelled to do what I do in compensation for a deprived childhood. In reaching for milk, here, I found cream. smiley

This is cool. I like how the chords don't really resolve and keep the intensity going. Works really well with the lyrics.

...sounds like a fine interlude between certain madness... or perhaps it's the sanity we should question... a great abstract musing...
