Couldn't help thinking of jolofsson when hearing this. I read the article in the NYTimes about the police reunion and it left me feeling very melancholic about the music biz. Sombre as this is, I get a lot of joy from hearing it and look forward to your songs and music.

I remember vividly when Sting re-did this for Live Aid. Just him, his guitar and Branford Marsalis on sax. A lot of perople hated it. I thought it was wonmderful. I loved it because he made another fanatstic tune out of a brilliant song. You did the same thing! Great stuff David. Great.

A beautiful cover David. I love Sting and used to like the Police when I was younger, am so glad they are back together. I love the way you put your songs together, am rapidly becoming a big fan. :) :)

So glad I found this one. This is SOOOO COOOL. I love this sensitive cover of the song -- and yes, the atmosphere and mood really transport the listener into Roxanne's skin. The piano and synths are marvelous. The drums are a bit bland and the only area I would point to for improvements if given a choice (everything else sounds splendid to me). Bravo David!
