This tune starts out fun and gets funner. Definitely going on the pod.

Bob, your strat-ish/tele-ish tones are spot-on. They jangle, bounce and cut through as they should. Long live the raucous vibe of Leo Fender and long live Bob Sperber!!

Thank you! I liked double-tracking the unison Strat and Telly leads, and I also love those lyrics here and on the other upload, Crimson Sunset. Bab, HOW did you know? We did annual trips up to Wisconsin around Shotgun Eddy's (Wolf River) and at oen point had somwehere around 30 campers plus dozens more "audience" campers coming by at all hours of the night as we jammed, partied and shot-off Mr. Bowers' potato canon... hmm...maybe you were there?!

What a rocking band. That's some mighty fine playing going on there Bob6. That double-tracked solo is just the ants pants.

Excellent tune, all around! This is a keeper.

By the way, i'd like to suggest that you add an alternate genre of "blues" on this. Whether that was the original intent, it's hard to say, but this tune has a strong blues rock flavor.

Abnormally funky drums for country, but this is kind of a rock song. The words sound a little too staccato at times. This reminds me of CCR at times. BTW i LOVE CCR.

Way cool number; well written and well played. Lot's of things about this track remind me of *The Band* and that's one of my all time favorite bands.

Hey! Thanks! I would have changed the drums, but I only got a locked-up AAC copy of this from the Drummer/studio-pro's PC-based Nuendo. Snare sounds too much like a bongo for my tastes.

To see how I took this type of mix and put MY noisy production preferences down on band tracks, compare the background tracks of my Alien Voiceunder (clean background) with the backing tracks on "Why You..." It's the same music, but sounds a lot different. I gated the bass and drums, overdrove the guitars, and - despite loving hte campy keys - downlpayed them on "Why You..." because I had more of a Horton Heat energy in mind vs. the comedic shuffle the keys brought. (I LOVED those keys, too, I used to laugh onstage doing that tune!)

Hey Ya'll,

This is really cool, would you consider it Country Rock? It kinda has a Country vibe to it, which makes it interesting. I dug it!

Nothing we did was straight country (I threatened to quit when the guys wanted to be a country cover band!). It's some kinda rock for sure. Yeah, it's what you get when you take a garage punk who grew up on blues and rock before punk had a name, and stick him with a bunch of Midwesterners who like country music. Oil & vinegar with that salad?
