Impecable, David.

Hernan.

It's funny to read Johan's comment...I always thought there was a 'music family spirit' between you two...Same introspective amazing songwriting...Somehow same alternative pop sounds...

We're so lucky to have you both here on Icomp...

And btw, this track is truly captivating...

Very clever lyrically, and sentiments I can sympathize with -- up to a point. And musically quite effective. I esp. liked the backing vocal arrangement and the shift to the bridge. Singing on this is cool, is like David Bowie, maybe, well a bit?

I should point out that the song is not meant to be taken totally at face value, nor to necessarily express the way I feel (I'm a teacher and father... I am constantly behaving in what would be called "selfless" ways); the "narrator" of the song is a egoist, someone who philosophical sees his own best interest as a moral imperative... anyone who's ever read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand knows the sort of persona I'm acting out in the song.

I guess as long as sacrafice is a concious choice and not externally imposed as a form of obedience to some form of oppressive belief system everybody wins. It really is all about the freedom to choose. Isn't it?

Clearly the vocals are the centerpiece of this song. Love the effects and the ooo's that slide in and out of the song. Anthemic indeed. You definitely took this song and bent it to your will. Bravo, David.
