The Angel Oak is a massive 1,400 year old oak tree near Charleston, South Carolina, and it's the oldest living organism east of the Mississippi. I wrote this song after paying the old tree a visit.

My first fingerstyle piece. I've been listening to "You know who" here at iCompositions quite a bit, and am really falling in love with this style of music.

Thanks to The Tiler for inspiration.

Dan

Your first fingerpicking? Oh, cut it out. You've been dong this for years I hope, or my years have been wasted in at least two ways. I can't offer any criticism at all. Jsut thanks.
