Here's another one of my lyric piano rags from the early 1990's, freshly recorded into GB. It is subtitled "a high class kind of rag." I've always liked how this rag builds in energy. Ragtime great Wally Rose once commented on the effectiveness of the right-hand thumb melody in the closing section. Listen for it. Thanks for following along.

Brilliant. It even has those occasional timing breaks of that genre. I love the front part which is like old brass hotel fittings and also the darker passages towards the end which take us down the river smooth.

I like those small rubati (maybe a little unusual for a ragtime)
they add so much feeling to the music.
Great performance, enjoyed your playing a lot smiley

I like that you held the tempo back--most rags are performed at a breakneck speed, which kind of ruins the intent. I like the little rubati, here and there. An easy going melody as well. Nice work! A good toe tapper.
