Inventive and delivered in such a stylized way. I love your voice and the emotional wallop the tune creates. It plays between beautiful, difficult, nostalgic and classical all at once.

A true work of art, it feels like so much caring has gone into creating this.

Interesting new mix. I think of all pieces I've heard on iComp, this is my fav--to date. I keep coming back to listen. Here's what I like--the amalgam of references--raspy Waits-like vocals, complex jazz polychords, a phlegmatic bass clarinet solo,and mid 20th century British classical strings. It shouldn't work of course, but it does. It works really well, I like you've taken these references and created--synthesized--them into something new and unique. Bravo. I'm camping out too.

becwil: Yes, I did listen to your wish. I spoke the last lines of the lyrics where I wanted them to be sung and then tried to sing them in about 500 different ways. None worked, so when I finally decided to drop them I realized that I kinda liked them being spoken and left it as it was.

I loved the first listen, and I love this it is unique, and different, and very inventive (creative) You do not suffer "The Cost Of Being Different" I love the squeks in the clarinet..the strings are a super touch all in all a master piece...

CD or no CD this is a great song. That bass intro gets you right away into that strange bluesy world and the the vox and piano. Then the strings. It's a building of subtle and powerful sound. What a hip trip! smiley

Very, very nice. I loved the simplicity of the groove, and the orchestration was just superb. Very, very creative. BTW, don't take the squeaks out. It adds a raw, live kinda feel to it.

Where the heck have I been for all this time?
Wow, what a piece, and what a discovery!
the upright bass intro is terrific, and drives the listener to the central vocal part with that great clarinet solo.. amazing! Loved the piano phrasing, the strings, the song's mood, the outstanding production.. the darn whole package.
